Room motion in VR is an excellent way to make users motion sick. Room motion occurs when there isn't a 1 to 1 relationship between locations in the VR room, and locations in the RL room.

Most games adopt teleporting the player. This is usually a short ranged displacement and instant travel or a shortly faded out viewpoint. This style of movement is not room motion.

Elevators and vehicles are common telegraphed causes of room motion. These events are sometimes player controlled, or at least player initiated. As each individual may find some kinds of room motion acceptable, I try to include as much information about the cause of room motion as possible so that you can make an informed decision of your purchase.
