The Elite Squad of TF2 professionals-in-training

Alright guys. Our scrimm on Thursday went as I expected: we lost, and because of some very basic issues.

Working as a unit! That's something we really need to work on. I have talked to several of you who were there at the scrimmage (those I haven't talked to yet, I'm going to), and I've gotten some ideas for communication exercises to practice relying on your teammates and recognizing field directions. Those will be put into effect shortly come our next practices.

Another issue we have as a team is that we are all trying to go off on our own and do individual jobs. A Heavy without his Medic can only do so much before he's struck down. An Engie without his wrench cannot build! A Sniper without his rifle is nothing. Teammates who do not communicate die quickly and alone!

For that, I apologize. I have been a little loose in my grip on this so far, and I'm sorry. I want us to be the best we can be, and to have fun as we play. I don't want us to lose, sure, but coming together in a fight, win or lose, is something that's necessary. We have the individual skill, as Venture has stated, but as a team, we are severely behind.

Which brings me to one of my main points:

If you are on this team, if you have any desire to be on this team, you will listen to this announcement carefully.

Practices are to be taken more seriously from now on. You will play your respective classes, and you will play them to the best of your abilities. I am tired of people ignoring me when I ask them to get serious and play their classes. I won't have it any more.

From now on, we will start practicing for scrimmages for at least a week in advance. I'm sorry that I have not been scheduling things the way I should, but that too will change. We will play on the maps set for scrimms long after we are sick of them. We will learn to play together and we will learn strategies galore.

I honestly do not think that right now we are good enough for me to sign us up for Iron this week. We're behind, we're goofballs, and we're lacking in a good portion of the area we need to cover as a team: being a team. We're all in the same group, yeah, most of us are friends, yeah, but in a firefight? No.

That will change if I have anything to do about it. And believe me, I have PLENTY to do about it.

I will be putting a sort of 'Honor System' into place (Think along the lines of, "You don't take this seriously, we don't take you seriously"). The details are hazy right now, but it will certainly be in effect very soon. Be on the lookout for that.

I am electing a co-leader to help me balance things out. He will be online longer than me in most cases, and will be keeping the lot of you on task when I am unavailable. Tradesman is reliable and I'd trust him with most anything.

I will, on the other hand, still be working closely with Venture as a sort of co-leader as well, assuming he'll have the unofficial title that may as well have been understood as his at this point.

On the subject of this team's politics:

I'm going ahead with the decision to completely take over this operation, if that wasn't clear. I am soon to make a new group for this team so that I may have the full admin powers that Paradox has and cannot give me.

We will be changing our name and tag, which is to be addressed soon as well. We have narrowed it down to Hit && Miss (&&), Space Jam (Jam), and Friday Knights (FK).

Case in point, we're getting serious. I know you can handle it. And if you can't, then you'll learn to or we'll deal with it accordingly.

I don't want any of you to feel as though you have great ideas or a bone to pick with me and can't say it/tell anyone. I try to be the best I can for you, and its hard to do without feedback!

We'll get where we need to be, we need to work for it.
