Have the Distance alpha and want to jump into some multiplayer games with others? Or just want to be part of a group with others who have it? Either way, the Unofficial Distance Alpha Group is for you! Jump in on any scheduled or impromptu multiplayer matches, or request to host your own! Hang out in the IRC channel[survivethedistance.com], Mumble server[survivethedistance.com], or group chat to set up games, or just talk about Distance! Keep the discussion to the official forums though, because centralization.

Yup, you read that right! Anyone who doesn't have access to the alpha can now upgrade to the $55 tier on their Humble key page! Details can be found here[survivethedistance.com] (forum login required).

Obviously, this group is kinda intended for people who already have the alpha, but I know there are a few beta backers around. Even if you do have the alpha, tell all your beta-tier friends (and everyone who's been holding off because they can't get the game now)! Just a note of warning, though: beta is projected to release in a couple months or so. So if you're the patient type, you may want to wait it out.

Oh hi FrozenSapphire! Sorry, unfortunately the alpha community in general hasn't been that active :( The newest alpha update has ramped up the participation quite a bit, though, since the level editor's been released!

If you're missing your alpha key, first try entering the email you used to back the game with into the Humble Key Resender page [www.humblebundle.com]. If you only preordered the game recently (through the Humble Widget), you're getting the beta , not the alpha, and it hasn't been released yet. If you're still getting nothing, email ellie@refractstudios.com with your issue. Hope to see you playing soon! :)
