Yesterday, the UNDF steam group passed the one hundred member milestone, and I would like to thank you all for joining our group and keeping the UNDF servers filled up. If anyone has some suggestions for the servers, just let Borrelnoot or me know, and we will think about it. Hope you all will keep enjoying our servers and telling your friends about them!

The UNDF servers have been getting a lot of traffic since the full version of Left 4 Dead came out, one of them is ranked 25th on gametracker.com, and is the most popular Left 4 Dead server hosted in the Netherlands. The other public one's are ranked 45th and 59th at the moment. We are extremely happy with the amount of traffic that all of our servers have been getting, and we hope that this is a sign that the UNDF servers will become a pillar in the Left 4 Dead community.

The mapcycles/gamemodes will be updated later, so that each server will have his own rotation and gamemode.

After the November 16th update, and the steam group features that it brought, we have changed one of our servers into a UNDF steam group members-only server. Everyone who joins this steam group should be able to connect to this special server without having to enter a password or anything, and you won't to wait for a spot for very long. Enjoy!

One of the other new features of this patch is that you can now see all the servers (including ping and number of players on the server) linked to one of your steam groups from the main menu. It's a pretty handy feature and should help towards building a community in and around this game. You can read more about it here:

When the full game is released these servers will switch to the retail version of the game, but the IPs will stay the same.
