Welcome to the Maelstrom!

Who Are We?

We are a Warhammer-oriented community group whose goal is to create a well-rounded and relaxed environment for 40k, 30k/Horus Heresy, Age of Sigmar, and Fantasy fans to enjoy.

We trace our origins back to the prime days of Space Marine and Eternal Crusade, but have since then branched out into other games involved in the genre to provide various options for everyone here to enjoy.

What is Our Mission?

We aim to provide a respectable and approachable community of folks who all share a common interest in the Warhammer genre, and interact together in hopes of giving people the opportunity to enjoy the franchise while surrounded by friends and fans alike.

Events, Discussions, and More!

Lore-themed events are hosted on Space Marine every month! From the Battle of Calth to the Iron Cage, the Badab War to the Blight Wars. Anyone can join in and participate.

Perhaps you enjoy a more laid back level of participation, or cannot afford some of the games we play on. We host Hobby Night on the weekends for all of our community members to hang out, chat about topics, and paint mini's together.

For those of you with a more competitive side, we do host tournaments with pretty nice rewards. These include the possibility of acquiring DLC content or copies of games you don't have so that more of us can play together in the future. If being seen as a champion among the community is something you strive for, keep an eye out for these!

The Maelstrom is host to a multitude of Warhammer-based clans that interact with each other on a daily basis. Represent your group of friends by creating your own, or join any of the existing groups if they are open for new members!

The Maelstrom is a Warhammer Gaming Community that is centered around Space Marine 2, Space Marine 1, and other Warhammer Videogames, We've been around for three years and seek to provide a fun and welcoming atmopshere and community for all of those who call themselves of the Space Marine Series, the Warhammer Franchise, and all the other games that part of it and more!
We offer a number of features and activities from wearing the colors of your favored chapter or warband to fun writing/model competitions to fun and thematic events and campaigns centered around both PvP and PvE game modes.

Our team does our best to be involved with the community and provide excellent communication. We are primarily PC focused however we also support both Xbox and PC.

Greetings everyone! Morning or Afternoon and all that.

This is just a very quick announcement that I will be shutting down this Steam Group within the next week. Given that SM Glitchless has now completely merged with the Maelstrom and the fact that we are not making use of this steam group any longer, there is no reason to keep it around. As such, if you are still interested in participating in glitchless, non-exploitive, and non-hacking space marine events and games or alternatively, taking part in some of the other events we host for other games, please feel free to join the Maelstrom Discord server if you have not done so already. Otherwise, this Steam Group will be purged of its members by the end of the week. Thank you all and have a beautiful day.
