So...I made a server. I'm still learning the ins and outs of managing it, but I thought it'd be nice for some old friends to have a place to play again.

The server is setup for 24/7 Goldrush and Upward and NO CRITS!
Halloween costumes are good to go all the time and all talk is ON. Everything else is pretty vanilla, but I may shorten spawn times depending how people feel.

Most important, NO ADS EVER.

My dear friends, 2 years ago a small group of TF2 friends, from both real life and online, came together and thought to ourselves: "We want to create a TF2 server that is different, one that is dedicated to mature, and highly skilled players." Not only did we successfully create a TF2 server, we founded a community of players who would share in our passion for gaming, and we all grew to be a part of something larger than just a TF2 server, we became friends.

The community continued to grow, and grow until we reached to the point where we are: we have a competitive team, we had regular nights of fun, we had our laughs, we had our arguments, and some of us even became real life friends. As time passed, some of our lives changed, some of us moved onto other games, some of us stayed, and some of us moved on in life. It is only natural that our time for TF2 would wane as our lives continued through their adventurous paths. While it hurts to announce the closing of the servers, I know that in all of our hearts, we have achieved more than what we intended to from the beginning.

So regarding the details of server closing:

- As of December 12th, The Coloured Pylons Servers will be closed. Our service provider, NFOServers who have been outstanding in their Quality of Service, will discontinue service and the servers will vanish.
- The website and forums will close on February 19th. The community will be free to continue using them until then
- This Steam group will become "The Coloured Pylons Community". Any member of the community can become an admin of this Steam group to organize games, use the chat rooms, find members, pub stomps, reform the community, etc.
- We will perform a complete backup of the website, database, and forums
- We will perform a complete backup of the servers, configurations, and coding developments we have contributed over the past 2 years.
- The backups will be made available to any member of the community who would like to continue the legacy of the servers in the spirit of TCP. I will store them in a Dropbox or Google Drive.

And as always, thank you very much for your support. Without all of you, we could not have come this far, and far many friendships were founded through this group. I wish you all the best in the future, and I am sure our paths will cross again, whether in the next Team Fortress, or in real life.
