Who Are The Chipotle Bandits?

We're a group of friends that have been playing Dayz together for over 4 years! At the time we were looking for a safe place to play our favorite game where we didn't have to deal with hackers, glitchers, cheaters or inactive admins(that couldn't deal with cheaters) so we decided to start our own server which has been going for almost 4 years now! We still stand by these views today and want to provide you the best Dayz experience we can.

Server Info

We currently run two servers and open a third when we're having an event! We very much encourage northern pvp and prefer that you dont sit on the coast and pvp.

An Important Announcement Regarding The Chipotle Bandits Servers

First of all I've just updated both of our servers to the current 1.01 version of DayZ. If you were looking to play, you can do that now.

Let's Talk

As of recent it has been made clear to me that public interest in our servers has dwindled. The hardcore/vanilla experience that our servers offer is just not as popular as it once was with the DayZ community as a whole. With interest in the servers declining, the number of admins we have on hand has followed the same downward trend for the same reasons. For the past month or two I've been running the servers by myself which isn't easy to do. Personally I've been thinking about my own time management. Operating these servers requires having a lot of spare time, which I do have. However that spare time can be used in a lot of other more productive ways. Having said all of that I regret to inform you all that The Chipotle Bandits servers will be shutting down on February 28th. Until then I will be operating the servers as per usual. I may host an event or two before the 28th but I won't make any promises. If that's something you're interested in, please let me know.

NOTE: Shutting down the servers is more than likely a permanent decision - BUT - nothing is set it stone. The Chipotle Bandits servers may make a return someday.

The Discord

The Chipotle Bandits Discord server will remain active and since The Chipotle Bandits is my brand there will be no name or management change. It will not continue to serve the function of being the central hub for our no longer existing DayZ servers. Instead it will become the Discord server that represents my community on YouTube and Twitch. If you are a fan of my content on either of the aforementioned platforms then there is nothing you need to do. You may also want to consider reacting to the post in #welcome to get notifications when I stream or upload a video. If you are connected to this Discord server for a purpose solely related to our DayZ servers then you may want to consider leaving as you will no longer find this server to be of any use to you.

Final Words

Thank you all for all of the support, feedback and love you've all given this community over the years (YES it's really been that long). In that time I have learned many things and had loads of fun. It's been a blast guys, it really has.

We have $90 in donations sitting in our account. That alone is not enough to pay for another month of uptime. I would like to do a giveaway of some sort with those remaining funds to show our appreciation. Feel free to suggest ideas.
