I wasn't able to get the Training Room for tomorrow's scheduled LAN Party. Therefore, I have pushed the date back one week to Saturday, April 9, 2011. I have also changed the event in TTU Lan Group. I apologize for the inconvenience. See you guys April 9.

This is a reminder that this Saturday, April 2, will be the 2nd LAN party of the 2011 semester. Be sure to check the event schedule to get the full details.

The time and place will be the same as the last LAN, 7:00pm in the Training Room at Carpenter Wells. Hope to see you guys there!

That's right folks, barring catastrophic scheduling failures, FRAG
HUNGER 4 presented by ACM will be

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17th @ 7:00pm-7:00am, in the Carpenter Wells Common
Building (LDC).

Games are as usual. Unreal Tournament 2004, Left 4 Dead, Starcraft,
Supreme Commander, Counter Strike,
and anything else we can get together. Demigod is a pretty cool game
IMO, so we might try that out.

Things to remember for the upcoming LAN:

--Download DC++. It is a very handy file sharing program, and will
help with our legal distribution of some free games I have. Please get
it and have it installed when you get there!

--Install all the games you have, just so you can be ready to play.

--Bring the following things, aside from the obvious:
-Headphones
-SURGE PROTECTOR and extension cord if you have one. Mid size.
-Network cable. I have 25 cables, but that won't be enough for everyone.
-Some cash or food. We sometimes pool some money for pizza runs around
11:30, and there is a Sam's Place at Murray Hall that is open until
midnight.

Finally, ladies and gentlemen, there is something very important to
announce for this LAN.

THERE WILL BE A $5.00 FEE TO GET INTO THIS LAN. ACM members will get
in free. This fee is a cover; it does not pay for anything but entry.
Why? We've been hosting these parties for the past two years free of
charge. ACM we need some revenue streams, and $5 is a very reasonable
price for the amount of work the staff puts into the parties. Don't
let this discourage you from coming! In fact, maybe it will keep
people at the LAN longer so they can get all the gaming for their
money.

Consider joining the ACM if you want to REALLY support us. Entry into
all LANs for the year (at least one more in the spring, maybe two)
will be free, along with all the other cool things about being a
member. Only $15 per year!
