This SWEP is something I made because I was severely bored. Also the idea was from a friend, so there's that. I hope you guys had a great New Year's Eve/Day!

Hey guys!

I was really annoyed with how even though I had rewritten the Pokeball scripted weapon, while retaining some code, it just wasn't good enough. The new version will use the SWEP construction kit for making the view models and a friend of mine is helping me with textures! I plan to do some actual things from Pokemon such as:

Pokeball
Great Ball
Ultra Ball
Master Ball (NPCs and Players, admin only)
Heavy Ball
Heal Ball (because their health won't full depending if they took damage from a fight)

Frozen (??? not sure)
Sleep (??? not sure)
Paralysis (??? not sure)
Burn (when an NPC is on fire)
Poison (poison crabs, zombie, and possibly Antlion workers)

These will aid in capturing NPCs since they affect capture rates. I'll hopefully also implement a 'backpack' mechanic I promised long ago but got frustrated with. This was a to-be tab in the spawn menu labeled "Garrymon" and buttons named "Slot <1-6>" (and you get a pokeball of choice) to have a chance at capturing an NPC. As for knowing the health of an NPC, I will also make some kind of HUD so that when you hover over an NPC and it shows their name and health.

About custom models and materials for addons like 'evee'
I will also try again to implement the custom models and materials used by various Pokemon NPC addons (and custom models/materials for a Citizen NPC in general). The reason it didn't work before was because the model and material strings were never saved to be later used again when spawning the citizen NPC and thus resulted in only spawning a random male/female citizen.

Battling
I know that one of the major annoying things is that NPCs get a "dislike" to other NPCs but a "liking" to the player. This allows for fighting to occur between the two NPCs spawned. However, this will be more in-depth so that if you spawn two of your own Garrymon that they will not attack each other. As for making it so they attack like in Pokemon with the "four moves" and such--I'll see about that, but no promises.

I have no set release date, and since it is from scratch, I'm only just starting on making the basic stuff like throwing a pokeball and creating the entity for the server. If you have any questions, ask away!

Hi all,

I'm still in the works on fixing up the SWEPs to be better than before. Currently, all the ones that didn't use a custom v_model are done. However, the others are not done and need custom c_models (or v_models). I tried making my own, but no luck on that. If you know anyone who can help with this, please let me know!
