We had planned to do some fun stuff this evening... but the server has already gone since the date hit the 11th.

rip server 2013-2016

It has truly been a great experience for both of us, so on the evening we'd like our community to get together on the server to have a few hours of fun.

All good things must come to an end, and our server is no exception. There are a few reasons for the decline of the server. For one, the number of players of TF2 as a whole are declining. TF2 is still a great game and will continue to be enjoyed for a few years to come, but nevertheless fewer players as a whole means fewer players on our server. Also, several new deathrun servers have appeared and are quickly gaining players. Finally, people simply move on. Many of our first players no longer even play TF2. All this, coupled with the fact that we have less and less time to add new maps, make improvements, etc, simply has lead to a steady decline.

We had once envisaged having several servers under the TF2infinity name; Jailbreak, Deathrun, Jump, Zombies and more were planned, but ultimately never came to fruition.

We'd like to thank every one of our valued players, donators and supporters for making the server such a great place.

For those who don't know, our server was moved by operator without our knowledge a few weeks back. We weren't told beforehand. So now that's causing the lag. Not our fault.

Sometimes when I'm on it, there's barely any lag. But of course it can be worse at different times.

We're trying to negotiate with the server operator but we cannot be sure when they'll move it back.

You're just as annoyed as we are. I recommend playing in non-peak times, perhaps mornings or later at night, or generally when there aren't too many people.

We hope you understand now so you can stop complaining. Tell those people on the server totally unaware of it all or direct them to this message. Thanks
