RECENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
IMPORTANT: Hyperspace Jump to Jade Tears
Recent raid report.
Plaintiff states that range was an issue.
Defendant has provided screenshots to show that as he is flying AWAY from the base after the first strafe, he was 1.3km away.
This is important as the directional velocity indicator shows he is flying away from the base along a line that would have taken the defendant very close TO the base. Another reason this is important is that the closest object was 1.19km at the time of the screenshot when flying away at 52m/s. The reasonable range is 1.35km.
Evidence is showing that not only did the defendant come well within reasonable range, but it still does not matter as the faction members were online and one faction member was inside the base despite plaintiff relogging.
Therefore Plaintiffs claim of a range rule being broken is false.

Plaintiff states that the skirmish was initated for the sake of violence.
Context in these situations are key.
The raid was initiated against the faction of which the plaintiff is apart of.
The plaintiff and defendant has had a previous skirmish where minimal damage was dealt, in this instance maximum damage was dealt in a suprise attack.
The plaintiff and defendant have had a grudge for a long time. The war has been initiated by the defendant in the purpose of long term survival, a first strike to weaken defences against a shipyard full of defendable ships readying it for a resource raid, and a long term feud between the plaintiff and the defendant.

Plaintiff questions how a GPS was achieved
The GPS was obtained from a faction member leaving a medbay on "Share All", the defendant spawned in, turned some stuff off, got a gps and died.
No rank was abused.

Plaintiff states only one member was online
"Only person online was <factionMember>, who was off welding something".
Welding inside of base does not change the situation.
Another faction member was online, just afk.
said faction member never stated their afk status.
None of the above matter however, has the raid was still within range (as stated above) and players being online only affects the range rule.

The most important rule we have on the server is Rule Number 6.
"Have Fun".
This has not happened tonight from the plaintiff.
The Defendant was enjoying himself, the plaintiff took an immediate knee-jerk reaction to accuse the defendant of breaking rules.
The first comment, when asked what combat rules were broken, Plaintiff bought time by claiming that they shall wait until admins come online. After this, plaintiff was in the rule room trying to find rules oh which are broken, whether to confirm the rules plaintiff knew about or to read them to remind himself is unknown.

Edit note on range rule:
The Plaintiff was offline for the first strafe. Impossible to verify any "sniping" even if it WERE against the rules (It is not, palyers were online). Strafe was also through the shipyard so no "sniping" either.

In summary:
The Plaintiff's claim of the range rule being broken is False.
The Plaintiff's claim of a skirmish for the sake of violence is False.
The Plaintiff's query on only one member being on is Irrelevant.
The Plaintiff's query on how GPS was achieved turns out to be Legitimate.

Shrimp's note: The Skirmish was a flawless display of guerella warfare assault on a heavily armed shipyard and only sustained damage to a "blank space". (Hull was breached, but it was only a corridor inbetween the ship's vitals).

We would like to ask the community to please read the rules and gain a better understanding of them in case of suspiscious foul play, so that false accusations are not made.
We would also like to ask the community does not try to aquire names of these people.
Last thing to add is to ask that everyone follows Rule#6. Have Fun. Being attacked is a part of the game, keep rule break accusations for when they are really needed and instead seek deadly revenge :)
