We'll be running the TF2 Eyeaduct halloween map as well as the other halloween maps this weekend. If 10 people join the server then rare loot can drop, and the bosses such as monocolous will also spawn. So head on over now.

I think thats it. Halloween mode is also enabled. If you notice that there is a long time before the map changes its because some maps like achievement_turbov14 that are in the rotation list are meant to be played for a while. Still a work in progress but i feel its pretty playable and am excited to have some fun once it fills up with players.

The server is being shut down. Cancelled. Kaputt. (wait that means broken not stopped, ah well). I've been thinking about this as I just dont see a future for the server in TTT, or gmod at all. You see, when we started out, we wanted to start out as a Darkrp server. Our goal was originally to make a darkrp server (when i first got the server i tried ttt seeing as the basics of coding was easier to learn that way, as i had never coded before. However we soon after switched to darkrp). Darkrp is a garrys mod gamemode if you dont know. Its very fun, and better to admin then TTT. There are also some amazing mods for it, including car mods such as TDM which can be utilised through a car dealer. We set up a darkrp server. It was pretty good. Only thing i could complain about is the player slots (ideal amount for darkrp would be 28 ish, more then that and you start lagging), but gmod slots are expensive in Australia, so 18 would do for now. Unfortunatly we couldnt get any players. (Deleted large section rambling about darkrp and how its hard to get players). Due to this we decided it wasnt going anywhere and switched back to TTT. We went back to TTT and thats where all you guys came along. The regulars. We got heaps of members on the steam group (largely thanks to fudge) and people were coming on every day. Yay. However my longer goal was to build a community and go back to darkrp so we would have players. Unfortunatly i just dont see the future of this server as TTT. In fact, I've not been on the server for a bit. I also havnt been coding it as much as i should be, especially considering how much of an effort i made when i did the darkrp coding. I coded a lot and ran into some problems, but fixed them all and had some great stuff working (my first time coding too). But then with TTT i just havnt done anything in terms of coding.
I'm trying to think of how to say this without being a ♥♥♥♥ but I just dont want this server anymore. I know many of you love TTT (thats why you come here), as well as the community, but I feel like its not MY server anymore. Mostly because i dont want it. Im sick of TTT. I was when we switched back to it, but i did it because we had no players, and i wasnt going to end it that early.

So to conclude, this is the end of this server

While i have no wishes to continue a TTT server, or any other game mode in gmod, there is one game that i am interested in.

TF2. So many of you have probably heard of this game. I know most of you are new to steam and only have Gmod, and not TF2. What is it? Its a free hat simulator, with the greatest hat technology graphics of the generation. That was a tf2 joke. No, Tf2 is a multiplayer FPS game. Its also free, which a lot of us from 2009 are annoyed about as we bought the game and think were better then the twelvies who got it for free and didnt have to bother their mum to buy it. However it being free also means that there are a lot more players, and a lot more room for communities to grow. There are 9 classes, and you can customize them with weapons and hats / other misc items. I wont go too much into it for those that dont know it as you can just google it, or download it as it is free.

Anyway, so to sum up this message so far, i am closing the current server and starting a new TF2 one. DETAILS! WE WANT DETAILS! Look below:

Pros of a TF2 server:
• Free: Anyone can download and join
  
• Financial: A big reason. Keeping a server up that i dont like is going to be a pain in the neck in term of costs. I was hoping to set up donations soon but i dont feel right accepting it without giving something in return, and theres not much i can think of in term of ttt to give. However, a tf2 server with our current host will cost me like $5 less for 6 slots more. This also means if i set up donations it will be easier for the server to support itself.
  
• Chill: Unlike TTT where you can only talk to people on your "team" (e.g. if ur alive u cant talk to spectators, spectators cant talk to people who are alive).
  Where as TF2 has spawn points, and rounds generally dont end within a few minutes so if you're interested in hanging with a cool community or just some friends you can, you dont HAVE to be running around trying to stay alive.
  
• Fun: It really is a good game, and if you dont have it i suggest you download it, even if you dont come on our server. It will also be a new experience for me personally learning how a tf2 server works, i have no idea how it works but it cant be too much harder then gmod.

Details about the server: At the moment, we dont have any details like IP and stuff for the new server. The server will also have a new name (I dont like calling it Spartan Gaming, that was fearless's idea XD), i have not decided on a name yet. Once we have a name we will create a steam group for it. I will put links on this thread or somewhere with the new group and IP in the future.

Ok so i just deleted again another massive paragraph of crap. Basically i made some mistakes and panicked that i had to get the new server tonight and the current one would close by tonight. Thats wrong. I will have to get the new one quickly, but as for the current server, the server will close permenantly on the 26/05/14. Thats the next time a payment is due, which i will be organising to not be paying. Im cancelling my subsription.
Theres also some complications involving some free months because i was charged twice blah blah blah. This message is long enough.

I want to go on and say more but i doubt anyone will read this WHOLE announcement. If you do wish to discuss it more you can message me or leave a comment, i may leave more info there. I will take this part of the announcement to thank you all for everything you have done to support the server, even just playing on it is supporting it. As i said if you want to stay part of the community ill make links to the new group when its ready. NOTHING IS FINALISED YET. No names, groups, servers or anything. So anything can changed, iv just let you know what i want to do in the next few days.
