On March 11th, Girls’ Generation performed their latest hit, “Mr.Mr.”, on SBS MTV’s “The Show”. Kicking off the second week of promotions for their song, the girls chose to go with the suit and jeans look once again, but this time added colorful touches to their outfits with maroon fedora hats and blazers to go along with white and light blue collared shirts.

Girls’ Generation’s next scheduled music show appearance will be on Mnet’s “M! Countdown” this Thursday, March 13th, at 6:00 PM KST. On last week’s episode of “M! Countdown“, Girls’ Generation took home their first award for “Mr.Mr.”, and hopefully the nine ladies will receive similar success this week with support from SONEs.

Girls’ Generation concluded their comeback performances for this week with an appearance on SBS’s “Inkigayo” on March 9th. On March 6th, they won first place on Mnet’s “M! Countdown”; the girls have also appeared on KBS’s “Music Bank” and MBC’s “Show! Music Core” 400th episode special.
For their “Inkigayo” performance, the girls opened with “Back Hug”, singing while clad in delicate white outfits. For “Mr.Mr.”, they traded their suits from previous performances for short black dresses, switching to a classy vest-and-jeans style for the dance break.

The girls won first place for the night against Soyou x Junggigo and CNBLUE. Taeyeon expressed their thanks to SONEs, and Jessica added that it was Taeyeon’s birthday.

Girls’ Generation will continue their “Mr.Mr.” promotions next week; an appearance on “M! Countdown” is slated for March 13th. They will also be featured on SBS MTV’s “The Show” on March 11th.

On December 22nd, 2013, Girls’ Generation held its Märchen Fantasy concert at the Korea International Exhibition Center. Upon finishing the opening set, the members continued their concert tradition of greeting the audience, but added a small surprise with their classic introductions. After Sunny and Tiffany introduced themselves as Girls’ Generation’s “energy pill” and “brighter than gems Fany Fany Tiffany”, Taeyeon took fans back to 2007, when she would still call herself Girls’ Generation’s “kid leader”.

Happy 26th birthday Taeyeon :)

Girls’ Generation made an appearance on the 400th episode special of MBC’s “Show! Music Core”, which aired on March 8th. In addition to performing, Tiffany and Yuri served as special MCs for the episode’s opening, joining two of the “Show! Music Core” weekly MCs, Noh Hongchul and Sohyun. Then Seohyun, along with EXO’s Xiumin, helped Hongchul and Sohyun emcee the rest of the show.

For this stage, the girls performed “Wait a Minute” in yellow-and-navy outfits, and then donned full white suits for their “Mr.Mr.” stage. This “Show! Music Core” episode did not end with an award ceremony. Tomorrow, the girls will be performing “Back Hug” and “Mr.Mr.” on SBS’s “Inkigayo”.

Following Girls’ Generation’s numerous successes on various Billboard charts this past week, the website has now released an exclusive interview[www.billboard.com] with the girls. Interspersed with scenes from the “Mr.Mr.” music video, Billboard’s question-answer session with Girls’ Generation covered various topics related to the girls’ latest comeback.

During the interview, Taeyeon first talked about the title track of their fourth mini album, saying that the lyrics of “Mr.Mr.” are “full of confidence and poise”. Tiffany then described the entire mini album as “filled with diverse sounds and exciting cool songs”. Afterwards, Sooyoung briefly explained the concept of the “Mr.Mr.” music video. She also expressed the girls’ gratefulness for their win at the first YouTube Music Awards last year. As a New Year’s resolution, Sooyoung revealed plans for plenty of Girls’ Generation’s performances in 2014. The girls ended the video with a message thanking their fans from all over the world and wishing for love and support during their “Mr.Mr.” promotions.
