Welcome, this group aims to priotise quality than quanity meanwhile building at a steady pace to ensure our 'Sinfin Project' stays sutainable on Train Simulator!

The Sinfin branch line was opened by the British Railways Board for passengers on 4 October 1976 and closed in 1998. However, the line was part of the 'Melbourne line' which wen't from Derby to Ashby de la Zouch which closed in 1980 of which served as a passenger,freight and military line during it's operational life since 1868 when it was built by the LMS.

This group aims to open the branch line which closed in 1998 all together and in it's time it seen old-generational and new generational diesel units.
Including Class 150 and Class 151 DMUs which ran on some services as the railcars were slowly being withdrawn and replaced by new Sprinters which despite apparently being bar from the branch due to weight restrictions. Class 151 due to there unreliability which meant that keeping them on Sinfin Central-Matlock duties was a good idea so if a break down did happen it was easier to recover the unit which is stranded.

Evenutally we hope to put the map on the steam workshop so you can all play it for free!-However this may change due to operational and adminastration circumstances.
