Group for Saxion GE / GDP Students of the class of '19

For students of Game Engineering and Game Design and Production at Saxion Hogeschool, class of 2019, who began in September 2015.

The aim of the group is two things:

A) The easy communication between the students of the class, especially for projects.

B) Making a group for games. Feel free to post a request to play a game, here all students in the class are connected so you can form easily form full groups or servers for games you want to play with people you know.

COMMUNICATION:

Skype is processor heavy, prone to lagging and dropped calls and has a clunky method of handling groups. All-in-all it's not the best piece of software for gaming. Teamspeak 3 provides a better and easier method.

If you don't already have it head over to:

Pick your OS and OS bit-version and grab the client version of TS3. If you don't know your OS bit-version a quick fix is looking for your Program Files. If you have two Program Files folders in your computer then you're running 64-bit. Download the file and install it.

Once in installed and set-up head to the tab near the top and click on 'Connections' then hit 'Connect.'

For the Server Address copy-paste: cptts.gameservers.com:9460

Make sure 'Nickname' has the username you want to be known as and leave the password blank. Then hit 'Connect.'

Once you've dropped into the server scroll down quite a way to the header marked "Clan Channels S." Our 'clan' in Saxion. There are sub-channels dividing the clan up into sections for general chat, people playing games and people working on projects. Private rooms are for Saxion students who are busy chatting, working or playing and the Public ones allow anyone to drop in and join. The password to any password protected rooms is 'epydrost' - the name of the glass building.
