ABOUT Save The Spy Crab

The spy crab needs saving

Spy crabs are endangered species, and are being quickly wiped out. Only you can help save this noble creature.

Are you aware of the present state of the spy crab? This creature posesses little to no risk of harming a human. Spy crabs prey mainly on sentry guns and dispensers, with a few teleporters when they get the chance. Yet there is a problem, these humble creatures are being ruthlessly hunted down by members of the red and blue army. The spy crabs' main prey has also taken up a symbiotic relationship with the engineer, causing the spy crab to have much less sucess at catching food. The spy crab is also usually blown up during the hunt, further reducing their numbers.

You may be wondering why you should care about the spy crab; after all, they only get in the way and destroy useful engineer buildings. Well, we have been studying this endangered animal in order to answer that question. Our research concludes that dwindling populations of spy crabs have caused a dramitic negative effect on most Team Fortress 2 ecosystems. If this sensless spy crab slaughter continues, many TF2 servers shall be forced to close down, due to the battle field being unable to harbor any life! This is not good under any circumstances.

We hope that by listing the most destructive spy crab forces here, you can help the spy crabs avoid danger, and bring balence back to their habitats.
The spy crab is often confused with the spy. Though the spy lacks the harder more brittle outer shell of the spy crab, they sport the same kinds of decorations on their exo-surfaces. Spies are very dangerous to humans, they can kill a man with one strike of their knives. They are also after egineer buildings, which further reduces the available spy crab food sources. Not to mention that the creatures' similar markings lead many a person to kill a spy crab thinking that they were a spy. It is this reason that has lead to most spy crab kills, a simple case of mistaken identity, so please, look before you shoot.

We believe that if people simply try to take the time to distinguish the two species the spy crab can recover. Brave warriors who protect the spy crab deserve our utmost respect; and medics healing spy crabs deserve an award.
