A near year, a new server.

Welcome back everyone!

With a new school year comes many new great things. Namely three things come to my mind. School, Parties, and The Official Reboot of Sakki's Wonderland.

We're back, and it's going to be better than ever baby!

Server Hosting.
With the school year starting I will have enough money leftover to fund this bad boy for an entire year. An entire year. It's going to be hosted by another company, not by myself this time, so lag and crashes will be to a minimum.
Something just a bit more reliable.

A Brand Name.
Evolving SW was always something I had dreamed of. Some of you may know how bad I wanted (and sometimes tried) to expand it inside and outside of Garry's Mod.

I want a server, a brand, and most importantly, a community, that will stick together throughout the years. This time around, I plan on incorporating the server into something a little bigger much further down the line. Keep reading.

Custom Lua Scripting.
School means learning, and learning in this case hopefully means coding. I'm teaching myself LUA (the scripting language used in GMOD) so this means:

• Easier integration for mods
  
• More community requested features
  
• Addition of the many, many ideas I've been brewing the past 6 years. (TTT Medic role, anyone?)
  
• More stable report system
  
• Less conflicting mods, which means less problems

Sub-Game Modes in TTT
The only thing better than a delicious sub sandwich is a delicious sub game mode in TTT. These will be mildly rare (thinking of once every 30 rounds, maybe rarer) one-round game modes that can trigger. Something along the lines of hide and seek, detectives vs traitors, and any other shenanigans you all can come up with.

Rules are a little more polished, without sacrificing the fun.
Everything the staff has done for me in the last couple of years has been amazing, and I thank every last one of you for your support. It never goes unnoticed when I am not able to tend to the server but reports and problems are magically solved. It is immensely appreciated.

This year, I have minor tweaks and adjustments to the way things were run that I think will be beneficial. Of course, if they turn out to be a load of garbage we can go back to the old way things were done. Like I said, what you guys want is what is most important!

That being said, one addition I want to make is an outlet for Admins and Moderators to abuse their powers for the fun of the players (Within reason! Hear me out!). During the week nights, late nights at around 11PM CST to 8AM CST, staff can trigger certain rounds or use fun/goofy mod commands. I'm hoping this will reduce any potential abuse from new staff. Again, to reiterate: if this doesn't work, it will change! This is experimental.

Improved Report/Complaint System.
The previous reporting system we had was great, but unfortunately it was hard to hear the voice of the community since it was limited to TTT. This time around I will introduce a complaint system. If you're not happy with something, complain! It will be sent to an sheet that the staff will be able to look at, as well as create a forum post for discussion.



What The Future Holds

Earlier in the post I was talking about evolving this into more than just a TTT server.

It is one of my dreams to see this flourish into many different server for many different games. Of course, that will take time and dedication, but I believe it's possible. When it comes time for me to take the entrepreneurial leap, I want to open a bar that caters to video gamers. This isn't necessarily related to the TTT server as much as it is just expanding this community, but I wouldn't have even imagined it if you guys didn't give me such a great time on the old server.

Anyways, less of me fantasizing about the future and more about the now, damn it!

I need your input! I need you guys to get hyped for this ♥♥♥♥! It's seriously what drives me into doing things like starting it back up.

If you guys have any ideas at all, post it there. If you want to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scream because the server is coming back up, post it there. If you are worried about something or have any complaints, post it there!

This whole group is about you guys now.

EDIT: To clarify, I'm aiming for the server release to be in September/October AT THE LATEST. This gives me enough time to get my ♥♥♥♥ done, and then get server ♥♥♥♥ done.
