Saints Row 2 Rerelease

A group dedicated to anything about Saints Row 2 Rerelease/Patch news. I'll post a news ONLY if Volition, Deep Silver, Plaion, Gearbox,, Embracer Group, or "Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends" speaks something noteworthy or something important happens to them. Their "this project is still alive" tweets or SNS posts don't count as news unless a sufficient proof is provided (like a screenshot or a video).

IMPORTANT: The FAQ on SR2 forum was removed by Deep Silver. You can read an archived copy of the FAQ here. The FAQ was mostly written when IdolNinja was still alive and it was years before Volition's demise, so this FAQ probably do not reflect Embracer's current plan.

Embracer Group splits up into 3 different companies, Saints Row will likely be in "Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends"

Embracer Group has announced[embracer.com] that they will split up into 3 different companies:

Asmodee: For tabletop (non-video) games
Coffee Stain & Friends: Contains THQ Nordic. Will handle IPs such as Deep Rock Galactic, Goat Simulator, Satisfactory, Wreckfest, Teardown, and Valheim.
Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends: Will have Deep Silver/Plaion IPs including Dead Island, Killing Floor, Kingdom Come Deliverance, The Lord of the Rings, Metro and Tomb Raider.

Although Saints Row is not explicitly stated in the announcement, Saints Row was a Deep Silver/Plaion IP, so most likely "Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends" will handle Saints Row IP from now on.

Flippy has recently posted a video explaining what happened to the SR2 PC Patch.

The video explains Thomas "Minimaul" Jepp, the one of the two project member at the beginning, was part of this this mess. He temporarily took down SaintsRowMods site before restoring it with a response[www.saintsrowmods.com].
This, combined with Deep Silver's deep hatred toward OG Saints Row games and its fans and Embracer's financial troubles after their botched Saudi deal, proves SR2 PC Patch project is either dead or indefinitely on-hold.

EDIT1: If you have an account at saintsrowmods.com and you are using the same password elsewhere, I strongly encourage you to change your password everywhere, as the site appears to be compromised. According to Flippy, a rouge site admin of SaintsRowMods managed to password reset and log into his account and wrote some insane, vile post (seems deleted already).

According to Flippy, his account hack is Minimaul's doing. Minimaul also didn't really fix many of SR2's existing bugs even though he claimed he did fix it.

EDIT3: Changed the video above with reupload. Flippy said he'll remove the video when Minimaul leaves the scene, and he did, so Flippy removed the video.
