Space Engineers Builders Society

Space Engineers Builders Society (SPCENGBS) is dedicated to cooperative building of space works.

Rules:
1. No griefing other players' creations on the group co-op server (i.e. non-consensual damage/destruction thereof, e.g. exploding with warheads/missiles, stealing and crashing someone else's ship, etc.).
2. Be respectful of your fellow players.

Creative replaced with PvP Survival Server

It didn't seem that anyone was really using the Creative server, so I've repurposed it into a public PvP survival server. I wanted to try deep space survival where you have no asteroids and your only real resources are gained by scavenging the auto-spawn cargo ships. PvP combat is allowed, so form groups you can trust and defend yourself however you can.

I will be tweaking server settings as we play and find out what the best settings are for this game mode. I'll also consider whether we should keep this idea or scrap it and do something else with the server, so let me know what you think.

The server might not show up on your Favorites list anymore because of the change of IP address (it's now 96.39.148.80), please fix your server favorites accordingly.

The coop server must have auto-saved at a bad time, and it kept crashing. I reverted the save and everything is working fine again. Of course, we'll just have to see what happens with future game updates, since they can sometimes break things.

PvP Survival : fixed navigation beacons and started server again. Should be playable now without getting lost or being forced to reveal your beacons to everyone (just save your more important coordinates to a file or write on a notepad). Of course, if you fly *past* the beacons you'll be going "negative".

Game night for SE Builders Society tomorrow (June 26, 2014) at 6 PM PST (9 PM EST). Meet up in our survival server for some co-op fun with our other Steam group members!

In case you aren't familiar with Steam's server browser, use the menu at the top of Steam and go to View > Servers > Favorites > Add Server. Enter the IP address and add both our servers to your favorites so they are easy to find and join in the future (from the same Servers menu)!

I've got server access too now so I should be able to restart it (and even update it) myself as long as there isn't a power outage or something. (Means better server uptime).
