Report a translation problem
Once I manage to cough out a finalized map, i'll probably set up some instructions online. My rough workflow is basically
DEM>MicroDem>Set as elevation map>photoshop>dull the contrast>worldmachine>export color map,flowmap,heightmap. Adjust color map to your liking. Import heightmap to CE3, import terrain texture (color map).

The guy does a bit more back and forth between programs than you'll need to make a snow map, but the idea is there. it's worth a watch.
