so you can choose in your settings to take part in the new ui beta and i would say do it they got rid of of the use of ie(aka trident) frames for the browser/interface and now use's webkit like chrome....what does this mean well if you havent used chrome yet you should because its a million times faster and safer than if and that now translates to steam..... there are lots of other rad changes so check it out its worth it...again just go under you steam settings and change your beta participation to the ui and let it up date
