By the looks of our previous scrims and performances, it is obvious we need more practice. We believe that with the right discipline and motivation we can get our team to play in the Steel league during the Fall once we get enough practice in during the summer. However, if you think you do not wish to take this as seriously as some of us would like to or have the time to practice 2+ times a week, please contact Jen.acide or Click about resigning from the team.

This is not about your skill level or ability to play the game, it is about commitment and attitude towards this experience we would like to enhance for the people who would like to improve their gameplay.

If you think you won't have time, do not feel like taking this too seriously, or feel like you do not that the same passion as the rest of us do, please contact us. Inactive members will be removed from the main roster of the team but still may sub if they wish to still be a part of this team.

With all that said, if enough do decide to leave, joining a 6s league will be considered.

I would like to add that while a lot of members here do show enthusiasm about being on a team in general, it doesn't seem like the level of dedication and activity on our team is up to par with other teams at our level.

We want to treat Highlander similar to an actual sports team. Putting in time and dedication to practice, bonding with teammates, and being expected to show up when there's a match or practice without being told. Just because one person doesn't show up does not mean practice or team meetings are cancelled. We want people to regularly interact with us in mumble (while this doesn't mean hanging out 24/7 like us no-lifers do, we would at least like a few times each week for 30 min, 1 hour at a time) or at least play a few rounds of TF2 together (when we were scheduled to play snakewater, a few people joined us to play it which is exactly what we're looking for). Of course school and work take priority over video games, but if you cannot find the time for it, it might be better to reconsider a position on a competitive team.

A lot of us really do want to improve our skills beyond pub level and enjoy the true competitive experience, but without the motivation and participation from everyone on the team, it will not be possible and will not be an enjoyable experience.

Highlander at this level is not about individual skill but team communication and dedication. I believe that once we are able to sort this out, we have potential to be a great team and can do well in steel.

Please consider where you stand on this issue and hopefully everything can work out in the end.
