We have some announcements to make regarding your humble civil servants!

Logan takes over the Curator

Logan has been managing the Free Game Tracking Thread ever since he started this initiative years ago. To help out, he decided to shift his attention to reviving the Guild Curator (which, I hope, you are all following!). I remind you that the Guild takes no ownership of shared reviews. The sole purpose of the Curator is to give more visibility to your reviews.

kris.aalst joins the team

Long-time contributor kris.aalst joins the team and will continue supporting the Free Game Tracking Thread in which he was already participating, freeing Logan for his new responsibility. Don't forget to follow the thread in order to be notified whenever we spot free games on Steam, Fanatical and beyond.

Check out your co-members' reviews and share yours

The new Review Sharing Thread has been picking up ever since we started a fresh thread a short while ago. Those that haven't should follow the new thread to share your reviews with the Guild and upvote other people's.

By sharing your reviews, they may get selected for the Guild Curator for additional visibility. If you don't want your reviews to be picked, you can still share them! Just mention that you don't want them selected, and we'll be careful.

What else is there?

Engage in discussions about reviews on Steam, video games and asking for help with other guild members.
Improve your style by asking other members to review your reviews for open critique.
Curators and review groups can recruit reviewers by announcing it.

Allow me to begin by wishing all of our members a happy new year! I hope 2025 brings health, love and serenity to you and your loved ones!

New thread to share reviews - Subscribe now!

Something we haven't done in a while is a fresh start to our review sharing thread. Click here to see the new discussion, and don't forget to subscribe in order to see all the work shared by your fellow reviewers!

Since the last time we reset the thread, members have shared among each other over 1800 reviews! I enjoyed reading them, but it is downright intimidating for new members. This is why we periodically reset the thread.

All the work you have shared is kept for people to read. The old thread will remain in the main forum for a while, before being moved to the publicly available archives like the previous ones.

The Guild seeks new blood for its team.

There's no denying it: I have been silent for quite a while. Many in the team moved on to other projects, while the Guild Curator whose sole purpose is to share your reviews with a wider audience was left dry. We are looking for members who would like to get involved in running the Guild, picking and adding reviews to the Curator, animate discussions, seek new members, do PR with developers wishing to use our platform to find reviewers for their games, and moderate discussions when debates get heated.

Did someone say giveaway?

If you didn't know, Logan has been managing the Free Games Tracking thread to announce free-to-keep promotions on Steam, often assisted by other members such as aquatorrent, kris.aalst and Mickmane. You should subscribe!

But I'm also personally giving away a bunch of Steam keys that I will not be using, either because the game isn't for me or because I already own it. Please check out my Giveaway post, maybe grab a game or two for yourself!

If any of you have copies of games that you wish to give to your fellow Guildmembers, feel free to start a thread of your own in the dedicated (and members-only) forum.

And of course...

Should you have any comment or suggestion for the group, please don't hesitate to post them in the dedicated Comments & Suggestions thread, or start a discussion in the forums about it!

If you ever want to share some of your YouTube videos, feel free to do so. We used to have a few people sharing them in the dedicated "External Reviews" thread ( https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/groups/ReviewersGuild/discussions/0/133261907135346171 ) . While not the most popular thread, I certainly tried to regularly drop in and check out those YouTube reviews.

I made a pilgrimage through my steam groups to see if there's anything going on in any of 'em.

I'm still writing reviews and posting YouTube videos. If you all haven't diversified onto various social media platforms you might want to give that a shot. Feel free to toss a friends request my way.
