Auf immerwährende Zeiten!

The Husaren-Regiment "Graf Radetzky" Nr.5, or the 5th "Count Radetzky" Regiment of Hussars is a Mount and Blade: Warband; Napoleonic Wars regiment that primarily plays light cavalry (Hussars specifically, as the name implies) in Line Battle events but also fights dismounted when needed (or really when we aren't given the cavalry position in events, cough).

Hussars are flamboyant and extremely skillful horsemen and were known as the best soldiers of the Austrian Empire, taken from the best of the best of the Hungarian lands. We replicate this in events as we specialise in harassing, ambushing and pursuing enemy infantry while avoiding (mostly... ahem) frontal charges, using our great speed to our advantage, avoiding fights we cannot win and supporting our allies on the battlefield.

We hope to restore the tarnished reputation cavalry has in NW, being outwardly disciplined and respectful towards other regiments while being more carefree among ourselves, just like true Hussars were! As long as you are mature enough to respect your peers and listen to your officers when they give out orders.

Note: Because cavalry positions are never guaranteed, we therefore cannot always be playing hussars. Therefore, we will often have to play as Line Infantry. Keep this in mind if you are interested in joining.

Vanishing, Apologising, and Bad Newsing.

Well, I suppose I have some explaining to do with my sudden disappearance. It turns out university is really lame most of the time and the last month is complete torture. I've been incredibly stressed out since the past two weeks and I pretty much lost motivation for many things, one of them being running this regiment so I ended up forgetting to actually show up last week (and I've always wondered how could people forget when we do this kind of thing every week at the same time; now I know). I hate giving out excuses but yeah, that's why I haven't been on much.

Sadly, on to the bad news. Since I'm clearly not up for leading the regiment anymore due to time constraints and outright loss of motivation and I cannot find a suitable person to replace me, I've decided to (rather unilateraly, I'm sorry) disband the Nr.5 Hussars. I thought I was ready to jump into the fun of creating and running my own regiment but I clearly wasn't. Leading a regiment and being an officer in a NW regiment is a very difficult task that I used to find very rewarding in the end. However, with all the stress and academic hardships of the university life, motivation is sapped away and I couldn't help but feel a drop of motivation from the regiment as a whole as well. Also, before anyone thinks that: I have nothing personal against anybody in the regiment and no specific person is responsible for this. I simply cannot handle leading a regiment in my current state.

Nonetheless, I hope we can all still be friends even without the regiment. I also apologise for not giving you guys the opportunity to take over the regiment or a say in this. I just feel too attached to the regiment to let it go entirely. All I can say now is that I wish everyone the best of luck. Both IRL and in the never-ending battlefields of NW.

Can the Fahnrich run away to protect the flag? And maybe the Fechtmeister could be the best melee'er in the regiment, and trains the others?
