Well, Matt (MM4005) has shown to us the wonders of this new program called Discord and why it is so much better than skype, so we've decided to move! Heres why:

• Discord has an easy voice chat system, that you can leave and join with no issue. There is no ringing, or even a call host, so you can come and go when you please, even if nobody is on the call.
  
• Discord runs much more smoothly than skype, and won't take up as much CPU
  
• Matt has already installed an Anti-swear bot, which will be very nice in case Tied gets mad.
  
• The majority of you seem to want the switch
  
• Skype has been giving us way too many issues.
  
  There is a downside, and that is no video or screen sharing, but we will live, and that feature is most likely coming to Discord in the future. There are load more features with Discord that are really nice, but I won't discuess them here. Edit: The drawing has been finished. Swearing is now re-banned from Pixel 4x29.

So before I say anything, I will say that I haven't changed my opinion on swearing. I believe it is unnecessary and upsets people, therefore it shouldn't be done.

When I first created the first Pixel 4x29 Minecraft Server 3 1/2 years ago, I did so with people with the same mindset as me. Since then we have grown, many of the old members have left, and many new members have arrived. When I first made the rule it was not because people agreed with me, I mean, a rule wouldn't be needed. The rule was made originally because 1. I didn't want to hear it (Still don't) and 2. Because I wanted those who joined to learn how to censor themselves.

Well now that many of the people in the chat are older, and they have the right to make up their mind on whether they want to swear or not, I feel that it’s time to let go of this rule. Like I said, I still dislike it, so I will enforce that it is at least minimalized. I don't want to hear 3 f-bomb in every sentence you put out there.

Basically what I'm saying, I'm going to let you guys make up your mind, but I ask that you respect my views on it, and the views of some who are still in the chat, and try to limit how much you swear.

Now I don't think this would be fair to do If I didn't take some input. I have a feeling that many will want the rule gone, but either way, please enter this poll:

Lastly, if any of you don't know why our name is "Pixel 4x29" it is because of the verse Ephesians 4:29 which says.

"Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."

It is a good verse. One that everyone, including non-Christians, should follow. I do believe that people who use swear words to their friends, can still follow this verse, as long as you are not using it to upset others. That is all.

EDIT: As I guessed, the rule is passed. Swearing is now tolerated in our group, however keep it limited. Jack predictably threw the results of the poll, but it was obvious that most wanted the rule to change.

First off. I've updated most everything on the steam group page, including the addition of some things.

I've given most of our "veteran" members the ability to invite people to the group. If you have been with the group for a while and don't yet have this privilege, send me a message. :)

I've also made a curator page. There you can see the games I've recommended to the group. These are games that multiple people in the group have, and play on a regular basis.

I've also done minor changes to the rules, and updated some discussion post.

Events! I'm trying to get a day where it can be our "get together and game" day. Last time I took a poll, it seems most of you are available on Saturdays at 3 pm, so that’s what I set it to. I won't be there for the first day unfortunately, as I'm going on a cruise, but I will be there on the others!

For Skype, I've made a completely different group, and removed the other one. I purposefully left out some people who hadn't talked on the old group for a looong time. If you were one of these people, and want to be added to the new group, just send me a message and I will add you right away.

The reason I did this was because in the last skype update they made many changes to how groups work, and I couldn't take advantage of those changes without making a new group. (Skype isn't really meant for how we are using it , so we have to forgive these things.)

Hey guys. So Jack gave me the idea of playing ultra hardcore on minecraft with a bunch of people. I think it could probably be like a weekly thing. I've got a server working that runs off the same port as our current server, and its very easy to switch between the two.

If you don't know what ultra hardcore is, here's the premise. If you die your dead forever. You don't regenerated health from food, so you have to preserve your hearts. You can get more health by crafting and eating golden apples. The server will be vanilla 1.8, with some command blocks and scoreboard stuff to organize.

The hardest part of this is getting everyone together at the same time, so please answer this strawpoll for a time you would like to possibly play.
