President Smith is pleased to announce that a portion of the U.S. industry is being put into producing materials of war. This comes after President Smith announces America's support for the British Raj. This support comes in the form of America lend-leasing military equipment to the British Raj. In addition to supplies being sent to the British Raj, the Russian Republic has asked for American lend-lease as well. President Smith announced that American goods will also be sent to Russia, via Far East ports such as Vladivostok. The increased production of war time goods has vastly increased the industrial output of the American economy and has further helped to lower unemployment rates.


President Smith announces that his meeting with Petain in France went well. Petain informed President Smith that France was currently unable to begin paying back it's loan, but that if given three more years that they would begin their repayment of the $2.5 billion loan, given during the Weltkrieg.

President Smith also condemns the war between Russia and Germany. He has been critical of the Russians starting the war in the first place with their misguided invasion. An invasion that has sense been halted through diplomatic means. While President Smith wasn't overly critical of Germany coming to the defense of the Transcausican nation, he has been extremely critical of Germany's unwillingness to cease hostilities once the invasion of Transcausia was halted. President Smith also announces that while American factories are providing military equipment to the Russians, that doesn't mean that America supports the Russian position merely that war is good for business. President Smith is also offering to help supply the Germans with military equipment should they ask for it.


With several American nations being hit by Black Monday, the U.S. is offering American nations loans to help their struggling economies to get back on their feet. Each nation may apply for a loan not exceeding $500,000,000 (500,000 points)on a yearly basis. In addition, the loans will not be expected to be repaid for three years after the end date of the loan.


With the British Raj in the middle of a civil war with Princely Forces, America has offered the British Raj a loan of $800,000,000 (800,000 points) on a yearly basis. The British Raj accepted the U.S. offer, and the loan is already in effect. President Smith has also wished the Raj forces the best of luck in their war.


A year ago President Smith announced the commencement of the Economic Relief Act. After a year of work, several hundreds of miles of railways and roads have been completed. In addition 24 new factories have been opened in the Midwest, and nearly 33% of all farms in the Midwest have been supplied with tractors. Farmers are also reporting an increase of workers, despite some of the younger fieldhands leaving for cities' and their new industry.
