Operation Overlord was the code name for the Battle of Normandy, The Allied operation launched an invasion of Nazi occupied Western Europe during the 2nd World War.

The invasion started on the 6th June 1944. The Normandy coast was selected as the site of invasion, with the Americans assigned to land sectors codenamed Utah and Omaha, The British at Sword and Gold and the Canadians At Juno.

Several Hours before the invasion the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions were assigned the objectives on the cotenin peninsula west of Utah. The British 6th Airborne Division were assigned to capture intact the bridges over the Caen Canal and River Orne.

During 1944 the Russians have been pushing the Nazi German Forces back and crushing them with the Battle of Stalingrad (1942-43) and the Tank battle of Kursk (1943) they have broken the Siege of Leningrad to try at turn the tide of war.

Infantry and Armoured Divisions only please, Air force and Navy and Artillery will be Admin Controlled. You can still play as marines and Airborne
