Philosophy

Founded on the basis of community, Orion eSports was handcrafted by a group of dedicated professionals and has already collectively procured decades of eSports experience. Alongside some of the industry’s most trend-setting individuals and through real-time collaboration, Orion has already set their sights on new-media initiatives. We plan on controlling a steadfast, dominant foothold in the global spectrum of competition through innovation, perseverance and most importantly, community empowerment.

While competing and placing well in offline events was a major stepping stone to early success, possessing a powerful online community presence has always been the fundamental backbone of our cause. Creating Orion as an outlet to share our passion for the games we love was our main goal and through persistence, we’ve gained the support of thousands of players worldwide from a multitude of different genres. Humble roots, steadfast dedication and the unrelenting pursuit of domination are what drive us.

Fnatic's Chief Gaming Officer, Patrik "cArn" Sättermon, shared an interview he did over at Gamescom where he had meet the co-creator of Counter-Strike, Minh "Gooseman" Le.

Gooseman is the man behind the whole project of Counter Strike alongside with Jess Cliffe.
Also, he recently created Tactical Intervetion, a high promising video game with old and modern components.

The 6th season of the CyberGamer CoD4 ladder is coming to a close!

In the Final Cup, sponsored by Astro Gaming, 32 teams from the CG ladder will be playing in a double-elimination knockout format having also a looser's bracket giving teams that didn't make it in the main bracket, a second chance to progress through to the grand final.

The tournament will be kicked off on Sunday 15th September. Upper bracket's games will all be a BO3 VETO mode and all the lower bracket's games will be a BO1 VETO system besides the lower bracket final that will be BO3.

Our representative COD4 team will attend the event holding the 30th seed at the upper bracket. Orion eSports made waves from the beginning of the 6th season when they managed to beat the likes of myRevenge, be.inside, ECV and Seems Legit, as well as put up a great fight against nameless.Squad and Eastern Wizards. Eventually, after a 41-18 record, secured the 30th place among the 800 contestants.

We talked to the team's captain Aleksandr "sraker" about their big achievement on the league and their goal on the final cup:

"We entered into CyberGamer Astro Gaming CoD4 Season 6 Finale Cup with high ambitions. This is the best league of playing COD4 at competitive level. Our main goal isn't to be kicked after first match and win as much as possible opponents. Absolutely all the rivals are very strong and we will try to do our best for our organization."

Prizes of this Season will be as the following:

1st: 500 Euros & 5x A40 Audio System Black
2nd: 300 Euros & 5x A30 Headset White
3rd: 200 Euros

Orion eSports will launch an announcement regarding our team's first match and their course as soon as possible. Also StreamGasm will be providing the full action throughout the cup, so you won't miss a clutch!
