Welcome aboard, fellow Zenner!

NokoZen Experience is a heavily inspired SC-Like Garry's Mod server, originating from ChenZen's "Misfire" Sven Co-op servers, fully fledged into the Source Engine.

This server attempts to achieve a GoldSrc experience, inside of Source, while also maintaining full-on workshop support, and exclusively allowing legacy addons/local addons to work inside this server, which allows for mods such as the ARC9 Ready or Not pack for example.

The server frequently updates to different game styles, but also maintaining its name and having multiple version backups in case of hotswapping server code/addons.

This server/group will strictly remain as a passion project! It's a love letter towards Sven Co-op, and ChenZen's Misfire servers as they have shaped my childhood into something I will never forget!

Fully finished replicating GoldSrc, inside of Source!

Seems like a trend for me to always release an announcement during the 21st-30th period of every month huh?

After a lot, and I mean a LOT of Workshop digging and whatnot, I can confidently say that..I think I may have officially hit the roadblock on how much I can really push this game to feel and act like GoldSrc, with additional twists to the server QoL features.
While yes the main focus of NZE is to provide a GoldSrc experience, it can become challenging to truly replicate it to its last detail considering this is Source after all, but what did got accomplished anyway?
Well..Lets put the main ones in the spotlight, there are many to list:

(GoldSrc Sound Effects)
> Sven Co-op Footsteps have been revised, so instead of the OG HL, it's Sven's.
> All if not every single sound effect but not limited to:
- Explosions, Ragdolls, Particles, Weapons, Misc., Environment, NPCs etc;
> The sounds are mostly HD Resampled, but also combines LD sounds
> HL2 Weapons are noticeably HL1 sounding now.

(GoldSrc Mechanics)
> GoldSrc Movement has been implemented
- When you hold E, you actually slow down heavily, much like Half-Life.
> GoldSrc HUD Support
- personal recommendation, use Sven Co-op!
> GoldSrc Bullet Particles
> GoldSrc Blood Particles (combining HD Resampled and LD)
> Half-Life Weapons
-OP4, Blue Shift, Sven Co-op, They Hunger (for example)

This is a bit of a interesting one, since theres a lack of them, but notable ones are:

Misfire's core mechanics are finally replicated!

So the original guy who made the GMXPM mod deleted it, then someone reuploaded it but the save and XP function is totally borked, and then ANOTHER guy re-fully made and fixed the GMXPM system himself, but it broke TFA Ammo Reloading completely..
..So what did I do? Fixed it myself.
Now I can officially consider this GMXPM system fully functioning for future Campaign sessions..

Not just that, NZEWR v3 buymenu is 70% completed, fully functioning (despite it spitting Lua errors), and will be exclusively enabled only for Campaigns. Thanks to those who have early-tested it!

The prototype we first started with when it came to ingame chatsounds was TWLZ chatsounds, but after converting all of misfires chatsounds to a .wav compatible format on a 44.1khz sample rate, it was instantly replaced to match the original concept.

Loading music however is still a concept yet to be replicated in-game, as the only method I have replicated that is directly streaming from Discord as a audio stream, since Loading musics are sort of complex to set up in GMOD than I thought.

Hats, pets, trails, are still in current W.I.P state..
but hey, we have kicking and NVGs!
