I've remembered what this group was. Allow me to go back back back back (laos)


Summer 2015, between 7th and 8th grade. Prime TF2 time.

I had begun frequenting a certain server on TF2. Eric may remember it; it was an idle server. I was on for several hours per day, and it was really fun. I enjoyed myself with TF2 the most then than I ever have since and before.

I was becoming a regular; back then, my name wasn't Sushinara, or Fye, or Zrocks585, or Harambe, or whatever other username I've used; it was Someone, and later [WK] Someone once I'd fully established myself as a regular. WK was and still is the server name, but that's beside the point.

This group was made by another regular who wanted people from the server to join so that we could just have some fun. Kinda sad to think all had left when considering the reason for it being made.


As I type this, I remember some stories from the server.


Being able to get into enemy spawn by using the force of nature.

The server owner only allowing people (of minimum age of 15, which happened once) to become mods if they send him feet photos (which he would allow people to become mods without doing so if they were adamant enough about not sending that). In fact, I remember the guy's name: Felix.

Listening to the others play music over the mic and just have a good time chatting.

Having people start to recognize me and welcome me back.

Seeing myself progress and get more cosmetics and taunts, although I never got my hands on the coveted Conga taunt haha : )

And eventually.. losing interest in the server and moving on.


I've done this too many times to count. On several servers, I've tried to convince myself to stay and become fully established into the playerbase and become fully known to the community. Too many to count, to be honest, but they've all lead in failure.

For example, Harambe tried to become known on a x10 server, Zedgoose tried this for a gmod 1942 RP server, Seng tried on a jail break server and on TWD wiki (not all me though), Sushi Sayonara on a tf2 trade server and on a sniper duel idle server, and most recently, [FNG] Fye tried to become known on another gmod jailbreak server (and was so close too!).

I guess all these past failures are kinda sad to me; to think I could have been well known by all these people, but my losing of interest prevented me from getting established.

I also suppose this is why Sushi is serious about Minewind Aqua, and doesn't intend on leaving. No matter how bored Sushi will get with Minewind, Sushi will stay in order to be fully cemented in the community. Realm was nice, but in that case, Sushinara experienced the very opposite; others losing interest rather than him.

I suppose this is where I'll leave off. This was mainly a ramble to reminisce, so I don't assume you'll care. If you have similar stories, I am really interested to find out.

I may return to this if I regain memories about other lost servers.

UPDATE: Sushi gave up on Minewind, unfortunately. Looks like this established member thing might not be for me.
