Age play is the term for consenting adults who roleplay in some way pertaining to age. Sometimes this is "infantilism", which is adults acting like babies or children. This is often sexual, and not what this group is about.

Age regression is when a person reverts to a younger state of mind. They may regress a few years back from their current age or, in some cases, return to a child-like or infant-like state. This practice can be done to explore childhood memories, relieve stress through escapism, or access hidden memories and aspects of your personality. This is often involuntary or done as a form of therapy. People who age regress are not always adults. Many children do this as a self-defense mechanism. This a common coping mechanism for people suffering from trauma, or with a developmental disorder such as autism, ASD, or ADHD.

A little is a person who can slip into a child-like mental state and is sometimes seen as an alter ego in order to cope with trauma or childhood trauma. Although some people with dissociative disorders may have littles, being a little is not indicative of having a disassociative disorder. A little can enjoy stuff like coloring, eating sweets, listening to more child-like music, and cuddling, but they do not necessarily enjoy all of those and others prefer maybe some not listed. Littles can often be afraid to say no and may fawn for people's approval. Some littles may seek out a caregiver (CG) to make them feel safe or ensure that they are not hurt in this state.

A caregiver is someone who takes care of a little/age regressor when they regress into a younger mindset. It's like a child and parent relationship, it's also not ddlg or ddlb those two are sexual whereas a caregiver and a little/age regressor relationship are safe for work and not sexual at all.

This group is for anyone who feels the disconnect between their mental development and chronological age. People here may consider themselves littles or age regressors, but not all. Some may feel permanently stuck in this state, and that's okay too.
