Not Just your Neighborhood Gamers

Gamers. We are a different breed. Grinders, crafters, explorers, completionists, raiders, RP, PvP, PvE... we cover it all and more. We play the games that speak to us on a personal level and allow us to play how we want. Whether it's the lore of the world, the mechanics of battle, or the friends you follow there, it's not "just another game" for us.

We are all gamers here, some part time, some full time. What we are doing is rewriting the norm of a guild and expanding it to become an entire Community. We aren't designing the typical rank and file structure that exists in so many other places, but a new idea. A Community of gamers led by a Council of Peers. Not 1 person writing the rules, but a true collaboration of many people discussing and putting in place a wider, more dynamic structure.

We want this to be a huge success, but that only happens if you do as well.

This more open concept allows for things that don't always work in other places. Most multi-game communities use the same guild name for all games they play, and for many of them that works well, for others it doesn't. Here, the guild name for a game is decided on by the members playing that game, so it allows it to fit with each individual game's genre. Our Star Citizen Chapter, Anoteros, was discussed at length before being finalized but it was accepted by all present. All aspects of each name brought to the table were looked at and discussed. Anoteros was chosen by a unanimous decision.

This is what we want to continue to foster throughout other games and the Community as a whole. The knowledge that your opinion counts and that everyone has the feeling of ownership of the Community, this in turn means people will want something because it advances the Community and not a personal agenda.
