Mo Bros and Sistas of Movember 2009.

So, it's been over for a few days now and, as usual, here comes that funny feeling. The one you got at the end of high school right after you've said your good-byes and took your next steps. The very same feeling that crept up on you soon after uni when the parties had ended, the good will was shared, the memories locked away and you walk off on a vague path toward the next phase of your life. It's a mixture of elation and reflection. Of an end and a beginning. Just like right now.

Mo Bros and Sistas, it's time to take a moment to reflect. Reflect on the monumental success you created for Movember 2009. Of the awareness you generated, the conversations you started, the money you raised and the causes you supported - and not just supported but courageously and excitedly spearheaded to create the biggest Movember campaign to date.

We'll have official numbers early next year and we'll share them with you, and the broader Movember community, then.

In the meantime, it's important to acknowledge, that what you did this year will, ultimately, help save lives. Whether it's motivating someone to have a prostate check and catching something early, or recognising a mate is down and helping him with the climb out of a flat spot.

Perhaps the effect is supporting the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia's dedication to research, funding and awareness of prostate cancer; or enabling beyondblue to reach its mission to address issues associated with depression.

In whatever form help comes, it has only been possible because of each and every individual effort. Your effort. Every conversation you had, every email you sent, every Mo Bro you supported, every dollar you raised, every step you took on the streets with your Mo.

You have helped change the face of men's health.
