The Falkland Islands are Argentine land!

Welcome! This group is for the support of Argentine sovereignty of the Falkland Islands, also known as the Malvinas, as well as Argentine sovereignty over the South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands respectively. The Malvinas are Argentine and have always been Argentine. I will refute a couple of arguments that the British like to make when discussing the Falkland Islands. "The population of the Falklands Islands are proudly British and every single one of them wants to remain British!" True, much of the population of the Falklands are British, and they would have every right to become citizens of Argentina if Argentine sovereignty was restored. But I don't really think it matters by this point who the population of the Islands belongs too, because in 1833 the British had drove the Argentine settlers and authorities off the island to begin with, with greater force than what we saw 1982. The Argentines on the island back then were proudly Argentine, but that didn't really matter to the British, did it? "But the British discovered the Islands!" Yes they did discover the islands however they never colonized it like Argentina had. When the Argentines colonized the islands the British pushed them off by force. This argument is not even logical coming from a British person because as I remember the British Isles were not discovered by the Anglo-Saxons, but by the Iceni and the Romans, therefore according to your logic, the British Isles are rightly Italian.
