HOW TO STEAL AND DESTROY NUKES FROM OTHERS
Alright, I've answered this question like 4 times already, so here's a handy-dandy guide on how to infiltrate, procure, and destroy your nuclear powered enemy's toys.

1. PREPARATION
If you're gonna go in there, and that jerk has a nuke, odds are, he's gonna have high security. Check ALL of the stats their base and men have before going in.

  • What level are the guards and how many are there? Are they non-lethal, or lethal? If high level, getting caught is easier, and getting out of attack status is harder.

  • If they're lethal, they likely have combat armor AND head plates, so headshotting becomes less of an option. Nonlethal means that EVERYTHING will be rubber bullets, even the minigun turrets, so stunning and fultoning is the guards' main strat. this also means no combat armor, and NVG on lots of guards, so you may way to bring a sneaking suit on those missions. No armor means tranquing becomes a good option too though.

  • What range do they have? Close range hurts the most and stuns, snipers have the most vision and reach, and mid range means almost everyone can hit you from anywhere. If they have snipers, you bring one too, never advance to the next strut without taking out all the visible snipers, or you WILL get caught advancing from one to the next.

  • What level is the FOB? Higher level means more struts to pass, and more ammo needed to make it through. Prepare accordingly. Does some lower have a level 1 strut with 4 nukes? Doesn't matter what you bring then, just waltz in next the helipad, steal all 4, and do whatever you want afterward.

  • Don't forget that you don't have to WIN, you only have to STEAL THE NUKES FROM THE COMMAND PLATFORM. If you know the player is online, consider bum rushing to the last platform and praying they come to defend and reset the attack status to alert status. whatever strut you're on, is the one you spawn from when someone comes to defend.

  • Keep your cool! If it seems impossible with your current weaponry/skill, it probably is. This guide will also tell you how to increase your capabilities in FOB espionage, so no worries about not knowing how to git gud.

Keep all that crap in mind, and don't forget that Cameras, UAVs, Tripwire traps, claymores, and Theft alarms are very much a thing, and dangerous when not handled properly. (Proper = break em all)

2. INFILTRATION TIPS AND JUNK

Stealing is hard, yo. Getting TO the stealing can be even harder. Here are my own strats for getting in, and some general rules about how infiltration works.

  • You can pick your drop in-point. Choosing the one closest to the next strut saves some time.

  • Sneaking suit is good against people and guards who use NVGs, but offer ZILCH if you get caught. Defense is something to be prepared for, it's very likely you'll get hit at some point, and at that point, surviving is your new #1 priority. Max lvl armor is pretty good against a lot of BS you'll run through on your way to safety.

  • Defenders/owners of FOBs are only notified of someone breaking in when a WHITE EXCLAMATION POINT is above their head. This means discovering something wrong/missing/destroyed/knocked out, so the likelyhood of someone being alerted to your presence and defending is actually rather high if you're not ghosting your way through. If you KNOW your strat requires someone seeing SOMETHING, your best bet is to make as much progress as possible, so you have an advantage when someone inevitably comes to defend. THE STRUT YOU ARE ON IS THE STRUT YOU START FROM IF SOMEONE DEFENDS, AND THE ALERT RESETS TOO

  • Reflex mode is a LAST RESORT, don't rely on it. If you see a vision marker on you, either move on, and out of sight, or do something to incapacitate them or distract. Throwing things can help for noise notices, as can decoys, but going into reflex mode from a throw is a guaranteed attack status.

  • If you see yourself somewhat surrounded, take everyone out silently, and move on. It's much better than trying to sneak away and suddenly getting reflex on 3+ jerks.

  • Don't forget that DECOYS COUNT AS TROOPS FROM THE BASE REVIEW SCREEN If you see someone who has an absurd amount of men, it's likely that at least 8 of those per strut is a decoy. Decoys might not pose much of a threat, but don't forget that in reflex mode ITS VERY POSSIBLE O AUTO AIM ON THEM INSTEAD OF THE JERK WHO SEES YOU, so there is indeed a benefit to breaking them.

  • Sielnced weapons are your best friend, particularly ones that take people out in one shot, so as not to wear down the suppressor. Rubber bullets may seem like a good idea, but don't forget it takes 5 in the body to take someone in full armor down. Lethal weapons with enough dmg like a sniper rifle has a suppressor, pierces armor enough not to kill, and can incapacitate guards without much aim involved. Urgaan Stun Gun is just as good, minus the suppressor. Suppressed Stun shotguns are also a VERY valid option, but you'll lose whatever other weapon you had in that slot.

  • When it comes to stealing things, in particular, NUKES, It's very likely, if not guaranteed that it has a Theft alarm on it. One lethal bullet is enough to break it, but remember that it'll be noticed if your weapon isn't silenced.

That about covers that, hopefully it's a little easier to understand how to get in, get what you want, and get out. Once you've stolen the nukes, whether you complete the mission or not is up to you. Riskier to complete, and rewards are better, but it's a lot faster to just sawn dive in the ocean, Huey style.

3. ALL ABOUT DEM NUKES

Time for the good stuff. Nukes are a tricky beast sometimes, so here's a little list of info to clear up some misconceptions about them.

  • Nukes are ONLY EVER ON THE MAIN COMMAND PLATFORM. To my knowledge, only 4 EVER APPEAR AT A TIME, so don't worry if it says they have 8, and you only see 4. If somehow they DO have more than 4, they will still probably be on the main command platform strut.

  • Nukes almost always have Theft Sensors on them. Tripping them isn't a big deal, but just know that they're there.

  • To steal a nuke, you need to fulton it. Simple as that.

  • "I stole a nuke! Where is it!?"
For a short time after you've taken the nuke (Approx 4-10 hours), the player you stole them from has a chance to retaliate and steal them back, since they cost a pretty chunk of fuel to make. During that period, you will have them, but cannot do anything with them.

  • To destroy the nuke,
LIKE YOU WERE MEANT TO DO
    ,
Just select it on the last page of your resource list, and pick the second option, when the nuke has shown up after the waiting period. You can hold up to 8 at a time, and they cost 100K GMP to destroy. Every 10 you destroy gives you a big chunk of heroism, and each individual nuke you destroy also gives a little bit of heroism.

And there ya go, go get em, warhead wranglers.

So, how long does it take for the nukes to appear on your game? I stole 8-10 yesterday but they still have not showed up in my resources menu.
