Darkmoon Gaming at its best.

ArenaNet has officially released their server lists for Guild Wars 2, which mean Darkmoon Legion has found its new home: Piken Square!

Now, Piken Square is a European server, so I'm going to address some concerns that have come up a couple of times with people interested in this iteration of Darkmoon Legion.

1) There is no lag - I tested both during unstable Beta Weekends and during Stress Tests on the European Servers. There was absolutely no lag, other than the unstable beta-servers which is eactly the same kind of lag I got playing on a North American Server. Gameplay will not be upset by the fact that we're playing on a European Server.

2) Everyone speaks English - There will be occasional bouts of French or Spanish or Swedish. I'm not going to lie. But everyone I worked with, quested with, or ran into, was able to speak English and was able to do so fluently enough to be understood, if not more fluently than several Americans I know. If you're going to be scared by the fact that there is going to be -some- foriegn language around you, hate to break it to you but DML has always had a heavy number of European players. Swedish is the second language of our Ventrilo. If now is the time where extra languages becomes frightening, then I can only really say that you'll have to deal with it. It will happen in Darkmoon Legion no matter what server we're on.

3) We are still going to be running on a North American timeframe - Central time, to be specific. While the server will likely be running several hours ahead of us, our own scheduling and play will be based off of a North American frame, and it should be accessable to most players within the guild. Both Swedish and American alike, if all goes well.

4) We will still be the same Darkmoon Legion - Honestly, I'm putting this here just to be excessively, unquestionably clear. We aren't going to suddenly be changing to a hardcore monster PvP Group. We're not going to suddenly be putting up with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It will still be the same Darkmoon Legion that I've led for years. RP will still be a big focus and PvE should still be lighthearted and fun.
