Second, I want to introduce you guys to my 24/7 (hopefully) terraria server!:

Its awesome, trust me, pvping, building and mining its all fun. Especially during endgame when you have nothing else to do. Your character transfers and if you have a piggybank, ♥♥♥♥ in there transfers too!

"Okay so how do I get on?"


Well First you have to download hamachi (google it), unmanaged version.

After installed, open it and under "Network" click on "join an existing network":

And that's it! You'll see the battling arena and the "?" house.

"Why are you running this on hamachi?"

Until pure admin controls are implemented in the game, Hamachi is the only way I can kick, ban or evict someone.

"What are you running this on?"

I'm running this on a simple home dedi server, e8400 and 4 gigs of ram. I'm soon going to transfer everything to an i5 and 8 gigs of ram for kicks.

"How long is this server going to be up? Will it shutdown like all minecraft servers?"

Terraria takes a lot less maintenance than minecraft and upkeep is easy. This is going to stay on as long as I'm able to keep it on. If the game gets bigger and has a bigger cap of players (cap is at 8 right now) I'll definitely buy a dedicated server and ♥♥♥♥. It all depends on the direction of the game."

"Griefing?"

Ah, yes Griefing. Servers will be backed every 7 hours or so. When a player griefs I ban them and restore the server.

"What colour is the dungeon in this game?"

Blue.
