What is the Last 4 Standing (L4S) cup?

L4S is a community run cup designed to help new people get into the scene, while spreading awareness about L4D2 as an E-sport. Although there are several leagues and cups going on, none of these serve your average L4D2 player, instead focusing on the elite of the competition. I believe this is a mistake, as there are numerous players out there who are missing that first step onto the E-sport team.

The cup is run on a double elimination 16 player bracket, with two brackets in total (One for EU and one for NA). All matches must be played on Confogl 2.1.6/7

To help out, select members of the community have offered to shoutcast certain matches, and have donated servers. This means that new teams can jump into practicing and playing right away. These people are listed in the following link.

How can I join?

Joining is as simple as giving your steam profile link, Which bracket (EU or NA ) you wish to be apart of. If you already have a team or group of friends, then the team leader should do this, giving the steam profile links of all the team members. If you don't have a team, we'll attempt to match you with 4 other people to form a new team. In this case it is recommended you do contact each other before the cup.

There is a skill limit, to avoid new players getting stomped. Any teams that are considered 'experienced' will not be allowed to join.

Season 1 information

This is the first season of L4S, so things will have to be learned. I don't state I know everything, and there will mistakes made. However, bear with me, and hopefully this will be a fun event, and calling it season 1 wont just be a over optimistic event.
