After a teething problems, our (private!) group server is now up and running!

You'll need to connect through the console for the time being, using the following command:

connect 85.234.148.52:27055

The l4d[eu] steam group server should be up and running once the demo has been released in 2 days (!!!).

The server is for members of this group only and I ask that you don't share the server password with people outside of this group, simply get them to join. The password will be changing quite often for the benefit of everyone - check back here on the group's homepage for the current password.

The IP address will be 85.234.148.52:27055 and will operate on a first come - first served basis although there will be some spectator slots too.

The L4D demo will be released this Thursday (6th Nov 2008) for those that have pre-ordered! \o/

Valve have announced that Left 4 Dead will be released on November 4th 2008 in the USA and the 7th of November in the UK (I know!). I presume that this is for retail only, and those that buy through Steam will be able to purchase it at the same time worldwide.

I'm hoping the beta will be available sometime in October 2008 for those that pre-purchase.

Valve have stated that L4D will no-longer be released in Q1 2008 as predicted but instead they're aiming for "late summer 2008".
