Halo 2D: Combat De-Evolved

This group was made for the development of a game we've been very eager to finish, dedicated to a series we've adored for years. There will be the occasional "official" testing session, where we'll make an announcement while one of the developers hosts (usually Neurion, sometimes Dusty).

This game is non-profit, for fans of Halo and by fans of Halo. We strive for accuracy to the game, as well as bending that accuracy within reason to fit a 2D environment.

VERSION 4: Tweaked lots of weaponry, added new game modes (oddball, slayer).

There are only two playable maps right now, arena_montane (for Firefight, open the Firefight program to play it - pretty fun, but buggy), and koth_valley for multiplayer.

You can edit your armor and color choices by opening your profile.ini file, and manually changing the values there. At the moment, there's no dedicated menu for this. There will of course be one in the future, but we're focusing on more important things at the moment.

If you would like to host a server of your own, here's a picture-based guide on how to do it. Make sure that you not only have a very good connection, but a good computer that can handle it. If you do host, try to let me or Dusty know about it so we can make an announcement and try to get you more players!

Dusty's left the project again, and without him, Neu's once again the only one do to everything code related. He's even busier than before, so if anyone wants to help (it'd take a huge amount of time otherwise), please offer! We really need the help!

Many changes made, both small and big. New additions to the game have been made, old placeholder content updated, new game modes to play, we've got plenty to playtest tonight so lets get to it!

If you're getting an error when spawning, redownload, we just patched that.

**Change Log**
- Gave brute shots +5 damage.
- Slowed the projectile speed of needles.
- Edited how the chat box functions (it should disappear entirely when not in use, rather than requiring a button press, so it's not covering the screen all the time).
- Changed spawning mechanics (the game will now choose the furthest distances from players for spawning, and spawn points are no longer in the same areas).
- Added the following game modes:
Team Slayer (dkoth_sixties)
Team Oddball (arena_montane)
FFA Oddball (arena_lumberyard)
FFA Slayer (koth_valley)
- Added new Halo themed scoreboard and scoring systems.
- Added the beam rifle.

Like it says below Android, it's dead until I can find a new programmer. Neu's too busy and Dusty left the project. I'm willing at any time to begin working on H2D again, but I know literally nothing about programming, my area is art and design.
