Entering eternal hibernation

Personally I feel like they messed up with the pricing. Console itself is reasonably priced but the games are overpriced. I think the inverse would have been far better received, i.e., price the console at $500 or $600 even and then cap the games at $60, MAYBE $70. Yeah, the PS5 Pro was mocked relentlessly for a $750 price tag but the difference is the PS5 has no games and the Switch has the best exclusive lineup out of any console in the last 5 years. Keep the software accessible and it will sell gangbusters. But since they've done the opposite now the games are going to be pirated more so now out of spite than ever before.

Also I feel like the Switch 2 upgrades for Switch 1 games should be free if you have an active Switch Online+ subscription. This would actually get people to buy the Expansion Pass. GameCube virtual console is far too late to sway any sane regular consumer unless you're a crazy Nintendo ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fanboy, especially when combined above with the game price complaints- those people were already emulating GameCube games anyway. Look at Steam- offer a service more convenient than piracy and piracy will subside, Nintendo does not understand this.

They also don't understand the concept of owning games, game-key cards are perhaps the worst idea ever conceived. At least game codes packaged in physical boxes are blatantly honest with how you don't get the game, I see a ton of kids and uninformed adults getting completely swindled by this. Gaming must have a physical element, it is what makes it real. "In the future you will own nothing, and you will be happy".

Very mediocre presentation overall as a result of my gripes. Ending it here because I can't think straight, in the middle of writing this announcement I found out the place I work got robbed at gunpoint last night like an hour after I left so now I need to reach out.
