cstoneburner -- a small chat if you will.
Too much to talk about to do this within your mod.

So first thing is Better Burial. You try to access fv.core.Cemetery.config.pyreActionRadius. Drop the Cemetary like a hot rock. It's actually in config.lua. Okay, here's the catch. That won't fix it. I've tried to make it work through your mod, a mod I made, and even using fv.core.yada yada in the console, wich returns nil by the way, and I can't get it to work. Building cost works, crypt works and I assume though I don't want to at this moment that burn time works but the pyre radius won't budge. I verified the command with a mod I made with .6127, which worked perfectly. I'm dropping a line to the devs about it.

Now the last part and it's all up to you. If you look at what I did with "Master Radius Mod" you'll realize what I did with the cryp and pyre. Messing around I copied and pasted your mod then made a few adjustment. The maximun size 70 not 90 and the burn time is slghtly longer. It's selectable from small, normal, large sizes. Anyway, if I were putting it in my mod I wouldn't change the cost of construction. It's uploaded and only visible to friends. For the moment, after some six years of skulking in the dark I've finaly gotten a friend. Nakia. So it's pretty much out of sight. You can friend me then download it, tweak it, whatever, and publish it yourself at which time I'll take this down. I can put in the public for you to do the same or we can each go our way with it. I'm pefectly happy no matter what. Just didn't want you to think I was trying to step on your toes. Not my style. Beside I might some help in the future. Thanks for your time and your mods. I've learned a thing or two from them and enjoyed them as well.

Fee free to publish :) I don't mind and if enough folks find your mod I'd be happy to let you continue the development and move the cost changes in with the rest of the builiding costs. If they move to your mod it's one less that I have to keep up to date!

Okay. I did get a bit of a mean idea. Faster burn abd larger radius costs more to build and vive versa. Saw something about half height fences? Yeah that would be real good. Maybe two square long as well so you don't have to juggle in extra posts as well. I like it.

2 sq walls would be nice but would require completely new model design. This just made the existing shorter prefabs available as final products.

After seeing how they put graphics ona sheet of paper and point at its location I wouldn't mind cracking that stuff open and looking under the hood. Haven't played with nifscope in a while and just donloaded the latest release about a month ago. I like leaning alittle of this and that. Helps keep the brain growing. So they say. Not saying I would be of anyhelp but if I acidenttly do learn something I'll let you know. P>))

If you want to find out what we know about what is required for models check out http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/groups/ForestVillageModding/discussions/0/154643085274110604/. It,eveidently has some quirks. You may also want to contact bnb_home1

The gui is less quirky but does has some game specific stuff we're still trying to find out about. .

Yeah, I caught some of your querries and stuff on that. I'm still struggling to wrap my head around speaking a new language. Did get an idea I'll play with though. Should be able to use the mod options to switch between say something like different colours of stone roads without having to bother with the gui. Bit of a cheat but worth exploring.

You can keep adding buttons with different variations. You can stick several in one mod if you like (look at the low stone walls to see how that works) . All the gui you need, unless you're wantng to do a sub menu (which we're still trying to find out about) isn't that hard.

I'll take a look at it after I get a few more basic mods I've been wanting for myself. Speaking of which, I've been meaning to ask tyou and Nakia how you would feel about me updating and posting a few of pbox's earlier mods? I'm going to do it for myself but they are rather good. Kind of preserve them so to speak. I do intend to give proper credit of course should pbox show up again I'll gladly turn them over.

I was working with him on controling the hunters and loot control in regards to the resource limits but they took away the access I had when they rewrote hunter.lua and killanimaltask.lua. Old tricks don't work anymore. Figure I'll learn some more then see if I can find a back door.

Oh -- how do you get and connect the link to another discussion in another discussion?

I wouldn't have a problem as long as they are credited but you'd have to check with @Nakia. Although I'd make sure that they don't a license first.

I was thinking about asking the devs just to be safe. It's a lot easier to do the right thing in the long run than to do otherwise. Plus I'll friend publish for final approval before public release. As long as I have them I'm happy. Just wanted to preserve them actually.

Palm says hello to forehead! Duh. How many times have I C&Ped without ever having noticed it. I'm so bored and unchallenged with my day job I'm starting to want things to be harder than they are.
cstoneburner 3 Jun, 2017 @ 7:35pm
I'd ping pbox, too and be willing to pull them down if they complain.

LOL to making things harder.
dominuskevin 3 Jun, 2017 @ 7:45pm
Ha ha. Yeah. Well it'll be a few weeks before I worry about ti. Need to brush up or maybe even relearn some trig. I think I saw a way to stop the sun in it's tracks. Maybe even control it's position through the mod options window. Everlasting days, nights, evenings. Could be cool. Especialy for those wanting to make videos or sscreen shots. If I can find a way to associate lua to boolean algerbra I might have a chance.
Nakia 3 Jun, 2017 @ 7:56pm
@dominuskevin, check pbox's license but I am pretty sure it is free share one. It is a shame to lose his mods. I am afraid something serious has happened to him.
Coding has changed a great deal so any modder redoing the coding is going to do a lot of work.

I myself miss the campfire. I used it when upgrading houses and since it used little resources didn't mind destroying it. He had 8 residents which I admit I changed to 12. Greedy me.
