Looks good! More info and control over resziables and more info about what various footprint related numbers actual do and how they relate to pathing would also be very useful. Oh, and the ability to turn off autoterraforming, either generally or for new buildings.

That's pretty much what you have to do. Although since almost every mod I've seen for FV can be added to an in progress game the trick is to save a fairly advanced game to test with and just stick in the mod and test, then revert to save when you're doing the next, or if it's just a recipe tweak or something similar save, change the number, reload.

I did make https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1140768082&searchtext=TOWN+IN+A+BOX to speed up initial village creation. About half the vanilla buildings are there and there is more than enough resources to build all the rest. Get mods to speed terraforrming and carrying (although going above about 5x has had problems), play on 10x and you'll get what you need pretty fast.

Did you change it for all the upgraded versions too? They must be the same. Otherwise you are hitting the same issue with new parking algorithms that caused me to take my smaller building footprints mod to friends only.

All the mods which used fvmod sync are no longer current (the code both for mods iin particular and the game in general has changed significantly since full release). The ones that are current (almost all) which are have to be installed via Steam workshop.

I will not be putting mods elsewehre now that the workshop is available for two reasons. Primarlily, it's enough of a pain to keep that many mod updtated in one place let alone multiple. For another I want to give folks a reason to actually pay for the game. My only reimbursement for my time modding is the continued development of the game by the devs. If they don't get money they then they can't afford to keep working and I, in effect, get no remuneration either.

@MIB, @Alprog, what IS the right way for modded buidlings to be upgraded?

Are they the same size in footprint? If no, then that's your problem (although they look like they should be the same model size at least) .

Are they in the same mod? The same file? If not the same mod then you probalby need to name them with the mod number (sorry don't have the format at hand) I'm not sure about if they are in different files in the same mod.

@Alprog, @MIB I'm working to fix my smaller footprints mod and it turns out that the only building where I'm having an issue of the game CTDing on load is if I have the following code in it:


Similar changes to other buildings cause no problems (to my great relief!), but any value less than 10 on the school causes a crash. Is there a particular reason for this? I'm not seeing anything in School_cfg.lua or School.lua that shows me why there is an exception and the log.log doesn't help.

@MIB was this made accessible with the new map tool?
