The Christians have absolutely no right to claim our land as theirs, and yet they have done so. We will not just stand here and let these heathen bastards trample over our sacred grounds and over our faith, we will not allow them to preach their false God to unwilling ears. With Świętowit's aid, we will prevent these 'Christians' from forcing themselves on Slavic lands. We will defend Rujana and Świętowit's temple if neccessary, we will give this final warning to the heathen leader - stay away from Polish lands or the sons of the Gods will send them back to their infectious nest by the cart-load. The Levies have been raised throughout the Confederation and are preparing to defend our lands in the North-West from any Christian incursions into it.

Late into the 4th night after Arnulfs arrival, activity was high. The force was, in relative secrecy, packing up, and within the hour was marching north, towards the border of Allemania. The plan was in action. Soon, the army reached the border, signified by a simple sign on a long, twisting road. Arnulf turned to his men, and spoke: "Brothers, Soldiers, Warriors whom serve the king and Christ. I know what you must all be thinking, and I was not allowed to speak a word until the latest moment. However, we have dire news. We have word that Charles, the king of Allemania, is plotting not just against us, but against the Empire and even Christianity. After months of painstaking observation, reliable sources have informed us of a grand conspiracy concerning Charles. He plans to despose of the other 3 king of the Empire, and then declare himself the Holy Roman Empire. We even have word that he is stealing church funds in order to fund a great army. WE WILL NOT WAIT FOR FATE TO BEFALL US! Under the orders of my father, we are to ensure his plot does not succeed. We are to cross this border and arrest Charles for treason against the crown. Our enemy is Charles. The nobility here will surely see sense and join our cause, however anyone who sides with Charles is the enemy. Now, we march. May the heavens bless and guide us in this difficult time. Onward!" And so, the army marched pass the wooden sign, and into the unknown.

By the next morning, a crowd had gathered outside the royal palace. A great buzz was about, not only on the subject of the now absent army, but of the great influx of nobility that was flooding the great chamber. Inside, King Carloman was host to all of the important lords and bishops of both Kingdoms. Once everyone was settled, he spoke: "My vassals, no, friends. I shall get to the point. We are in a crisis. We have recieved word that Charles, king of Allemania, has been plotting against us. He plans to despose of all the kings of the Empire, thereby declaring himself emperor. Not only this, but he plans to finance a grand army using stolen church funds. He plans to use the recent threat of Muslim invasion as a distraction, and when our forces are defending Rome, he will strike. Luckily, we have caught wind of this devious plot. My noble son, Arnulf, will be leading a force to arrest King Charles. We cannot allow such a man to continue ruling. Of course, we cannot forget about Rome. Our previously raised army can no longer aid them. However, Martial Atanasio Sibilia has raised a force of elite warriors, who although not comparable in numbers, will have to suffice in contributing to the defence of Rome. With him, we send a apology to the Pope. He has blessed me and my son, and we owe him a great deal. We must ensure him that we will never turn our back on Rome, even with the threat to the north. I wish the martial well. May my message be spread among the land! King Charles is a traitor! A plotter! A sinner! He is in no state to rule his kingdom, and I encourage anyone who can, to oppose his most horrid actions and plans. May God Grace us."
