Rumour has it that Parsa Soravati a local noble near Khiva awoke from a deep sleep where he has stated he spoke with Ahura Mazda himself who weeped tears of liquid fire and told him of the sorrow he feels for his children and the precipice at which the darkness of the Islamic Horde has swallowed them. He told Parsa Soravati to go forth and liberate his people from this great darkness and that his light and warmth will go with him.

Parsa awoke is a sweat with what is said to be a torch in his hand. Servants were quickly summoned and with Parsa's Insistence the flame was preserved and the servants told to watch it around the clock.

Messeges carrying this great news were sent to Mobads far and wide. The Sacred Flame has been re-ignited.

"To all leaders of our faith I invite you to gather at my residence in haste to bask before the warmth of this most holy light. -Parsa Soravati"

The goal of the meeting being to rally supporters and backing for a rebellion to expell the Islamic scum who call Khiva theirs.

Expanding our Confederation

Envoys sent out.

Our Confederacy is young and unproven, but it is determined that we do not abandon our Gods for the ones made up by the heathens in Germania. Our brothers to the north-west, the Veletians, Obotrites and the Rani control a large section of land, as well as one of the most important sites to our pantheon on the island of Rugia (locally, Rujana). It is apparent that the followers of this 'Christian' faith are better equiped and organized than us, and so all of us should stand united against this eternal threat to our way of life and our Gods. Special envoys have been sent from Gniezno to bring the north-western confederation into one single union of 'west' Slavic tribes. A envoy was also sent to the Bohemian and Moravian tribes to gather support for our Confederacy with fellow Slavs of the west. The last envoys to leave Gniezno went east to meet with tribal leaders amongst the eastern-most Slavic tribes such as the independent Dregovichi and Volhynians, as well as the Confederacy of Kiev to establish (at the very least) trade relations with our eastern brothers.

The Kingdom of Dyflin: A Pound of Flesh

The Slave Trade has always been big in the Kingdom of Dyflin, it is the largest slave port in all of Western Europe and has ships that sail goods all the way from Dyflin to the eastern world, where many Vikings go as raiders the Kingdom of Dyflin has found itself fulfilling quite the commerce based sailing to sell slaves to the far corners of the world. The gold that has lined the pockets of Dyflin and the Royal House of Uí Ímair

King Bárid mac Ímair has taken this gold and started to build a vast army of Norse-Gaels and calling on Norse adventurers to join the frey. He has rallied a vast host of soldiers and raised up the levy, and soon they will be marching to war, and the invasion of Meath has begin

Bořivoj I Přemyslovci │Support for the King

In a reaffirmation of the loyalty of the House of Přemyslovci to Great Moravia, Duke Bořivoj went to Svatopluk's court at Urbs Antique Rastizi. The two have been working allies for some time, with Svatopluk restoring Bořivoj to his title after a revolt, and so the confirmation of allegiance cannot be said to be surprising.

The impending threat of Magyars that have terrorised the villages of fellow Western Slavs, has been a great burden of guilt upon Svatopluk -of course- and so Bořivoj simply waits for the call to raise arms against the Magyar menace. His understanding, however, of a Byzantine support for the Magyars - in return for Bulgarian territory - has been something of a thorn in loyalties. Whilst many do not doubt the sincerity of Bořivoj's pledge, some are beginning to speculate a turn on his word.

The Vikings of the East

We the Rus
With the strong establishment of the Rurik dynasty in the Rus lands Oleg of Novgorod has bestowed Holmgard onto his son and sole Inheritor Igor Of Kiev. The two cities of Kiev and Holmgard are large prospering cities growing in both wealth and size at alarming rates further consolidating the power of the Rus between two cities. Oleg himself is said to be speaking with the members of the confederation about possible raiding West, but so far there has yet to be any movements from the Rus.

Eastern Trade
The Rus have officially established trade with both the Byzantium and the great city of Miklagaard, with this the Rus has confirmed trade with some of its viking king in Denmark as well as its neighbor the Lithuanians. With the Rus now cutting Europe in two it's trade influence is expected to greatly increase with its fast exports of timber, fur, and metals.

Growing Confederation
With the war brewing in the south and the Khazar raids to the east the Kievan Rus have offered its confederation to the Slavic tribes of Severain, Ulrichs, Drevlians and the other Polan tribes. All accepted except for the Polans who as of now have remained untouched by most of the issues. With this new expansion will Oleg plans on speaking with other Nordic tribes back at home for future diplomacy.
