We are a community of mature Don't Starve Together players

Welcome to The Famished Wanderer's Convention! We primarily communicate on Discord, the link to it is on the side or bottom of this page.

We have a dedicated server running passworded endless, where the password is always available on the Discord. We currently don't have a schedule, but were thinking of reinstating one sometime on the weekend to encourage a bunch of people to play together.

We currently pay for the dedicated server on Streamline Servers. The server is hosted in Texas, USA.

Our play style is based on creating one main base with lots of resources for everyone to share and long games that last hundreds of days. We also like planning boss fights and events with large groups of people. We like testing out strategies and helping other players learn. We don't restart the world often.

Currently we only play with two mods, Global Positions and Repair Combine. The list of mods we use is visible at any time by checking the server status link on the side or bottom of this page.

This may seem like a lot of rules and guidelines but we're a pretty laid back community. In the group's history we've only banned a few people for overstepping the rules.

1. Be mature
Don't intentionally spam, use excessive profanity, troll, insult, flirt with, or be offensive to other players. Treat others how you would like to be treated.

2. Don't grief

You're not going to get kicked out for these *suggestions* but we do feel they're worth mentioning.

1. Discord is kind of required
Even if you don't have a mic or don't want to talk, we hang out in a voice channel when we play to talk strategy or plans. Being able to at least listen will help a tonne.

2. Take care of the base(s) if you use them
We know this could mean a lot of things but we only expect three specific things in this regard:

A: Leave/Stay away from the base during hound attacks. This keeps the base safe from fire hounds or hounds aggroing our penned up geckos or other creatures. We always have a tooth trap area somewhere close to the main base.

B: Warn others on Discord about giants that may be roaming around after you log off. If you're the last person to leave the server please update us in the #game_chat Discord channel about anything important that needs to be taken care of soon to prevent structures being destroyed, like a giant that's alive or about to spawn.

C: Help prevent fires and antlion damage in the summer. During summer please keep any necessary flingos running, and kill or give tribute to the antlion so she doesn't destroy any structures with sinkholes or cave ins.

3. Don't hog or waste resources
Use whatever you want from any chests you see on the server, have fun and experiment all you want (without destroying anything someone else built), but please don't be wasteful of rare resources.
