Today we saw the release of Minecraft 1.8.

With this occasion, it's fitting that I make this announcement.

When we have our new plugin suite properly tested and ready to go, we will be resetting the present map. As with every map reset in the past, this is usually due to changes in map generation code.

What does this mean for you, the average player?

Everyone who joins when we switch to the new map will be given a fresh start. Donators will retain their status, naturally, as is per protocol when it comes to map resets. However, they will lose the contents of their remote chests. Bringing old items into a new world is a serious advantage over players who do not have one; therefore, to even the playing field, contents of the remote chests are erased.

What does that mean for the present map?

We will do our best to archive it as a museum map, in Adventure Mode. Meaning, that you won't be able to make any changes to it, but can wander around it as you like.
