FYI, on Feb 21 Ginger announced the server had moved to a new IP, which may have been emailed to you (subj "New CSGO server ip address"). Search your email or ask someone if you need it.

Downloaded map doesn't work?

A message from your host, Ginger.

If a new map seems to download but then gives an error, but everyone else seems to be playing it, try adding this to your launch options:

-maxdownloadfilesizemb 400

You can find your launch options by

  1. right-clicking CSGO in your games list
  2. selecting properties > Set Launch Options (found near the bottom on your General tab).
FYI, launch options you may find useful are:
  • high - runs csgo with high priority, it is supposed to help lower-end computers to get less lag and a few more fps
  • novid - gets rid of the intro video when launching csgo
  • tickrate - An offline game with bots runs at 64 by default, this bumps it up
  • maxdownloadfilesizemb - allows bigger maps to be downloaded
