Echo Update 018: Premieres and Progress

YouTube, I would prefer if you kept all of the text I put into my video that I exported on $100 software legible (you know what I mean if you've watched the Echo Society's 2013 Premiere). Because ya know, I expect my video to look exactly the same as when I watch it on YouTube compared to straight from my computer's.

But I guess I shouldn't complain. Google's pretty nice.

Anyway, hi guys! I know we haven't chatted in a while, so sadly this is probably going to end up being another quick little update and then I'll go quiet for a while. However, I am very happy to report that stuff is actually getting done. Echo 3.0 has been the main focus of almost every staff member over the past few months, and it shows. Tags have been completely redone for the third or fourth time and work is being done on the site everyday. Along with that, new videos are scheduled to be going up every Friday at noon (Pacific time) for the foreseeable future.

However, there have been a few unexpected alterations to the Echo 3.0 agenda that I see no reason in not running by you. Basically, Enjin does not make it possible for you to have a website hosted on a sub-domain, so that whole Echo.SilverKeys.net thing has been temporarily halted. Currently, directing your browser towards www.SilverKeys.net will end you up right back here, but who knows. Maybe we'll use it sometime.

Doubtfully, but maybe.

This change in Echo 3.0 also goes along with moving all videos over to YouTube.com/SilverKeysNetwork. While I'd still very much like to get this done, it's certainly not a main bullet point for me to get done. Other than that, though, the logo has been redone as planned, the website theme is (as of now) completed, and a bunch of other stuff is done or will be done very very soon. So until we have more information to give out, there's not much else for me to say (besides add Ultimate plan days to the site if you can, thanks yous <3). So until next time...

Echo Update 017: The Echo 3.0 Project

Whenever I go this long without posting an Echo Update, there's a lot of news that's been piling up that makes the inevitable update insanely huge. That's exactly what's happening right now and will be happening all the way into 2013.

Society members, I hereby introduce you to the project we've been working on for months; this is Echo 3.0. And this is gonna be amazing.

The Echo 3.0 Project is the complete redevelopment of the Echo Society from the bottom up. Your first glimpse of this was back in September, with a completely redesigned website. This development has continued behind the scenes since then. This update marks the release of many of the new features of the website to the public for testing, including brand new forums. Instead of randomly explaining what the Echo 3.0 Project is in a paragraph, below are a set of major points that you'll be seeing in the coming months. You like?

What's New in Echo 3.0:[/b]

Forums: Yes, we've had forums before, but never to the extent that Echo 3.0 is bringing. New forums for each branch of Society staff, advanced members, amazing stuff like that. The best part is: these are already open to the public! Check them out now!
Support: A completely new, starting from scratch Support Center including a form to contact community staff, an FAQ explaining the ins-and-outs of the Society, and much more.
Echo Society LIVE: Our current Staff Member of the Month, AU Division Head Texx0101, has been putting together weekly livestreams with your favorite Echo Society commentators. Check them out every Friday and Saturday night at 8/7c for new content every single week!
Even More?: More stuff is getting added to the to-do list of the Echo 3.0 Project everyday and even more is being completed. The mission of Echo 3.0 is to further improve your Echo Society experience, and with you, the community, we can do it. Suggest whatever you want over on the forums. You never know.

And even with all of that, we're far from done. New improvements to the website, Steam group, YouTube channel, and so much more is happening to the Echo Society to make it the best gaming community out there.
