One of the biggest noted problems with the map was that there was no way to replenish ammo/no water sources for fire. In the upcoming beta, you'll notice a sewer that leads to a creek behind the map. This helps solve the water issue, and to help with the ammo/health issue, packs have been placed in the center of the map. You can see a beta test of new spawns and one end of the (untextured) sewer in this video:

On the birghter side, someone has ripped the EEE models from the gamecube game, and they've been ported to Source. Now, there are still a few (a lot) of hurdles to overcome before we get character models, but its more content than we've ever had before (if anyone remembers the buttered toast).
